1077. Kansas City, Kan. Nov. 16. Man identified by his family struck and killed by an unidentified car.
1078. San Antonio, Texas. Nov. 16. Woman struck and killed by two unidentified cars that failed to stop and render aid.
1079. Baltimore, Md. Nov. 16. Unidentified victim struck by a driver of a green Nissan Sentra which fled the scene.
1080. Flint, Mich. Nov. 16. Homeless woman in her 20s likely struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle. Residents near the scene said the woman had spinal bifida and used a walker to get around.
1081. Oroville, Cal. Nov. 16. 18-year-old man struck and killed by an SUV, possibly red, which didn’t stay at the scene. There were witnesses.
1082. Madison, Ill. Nov. 18. Man whose car apparently broke down was struck and killed by two cars, the second of which stopped.
1083. Tustin, Cal. Nov. 17. 23-year-old bicyclist suffered severe head trauma after he was struck by a red Mustang, California license plate No. 6LLX505.
1084. Tacoma, Wash. Nov. 17. Passenger dies after car crashes into several parked cars; driver runs away.

Police said a hit-and-run driver who ran from them after a car chase left behind some incriminating evidence: randy photos on a cell phone, apparently addressed to a Fishers High School student. Indianapolis Metro and Fishers police are now searching for the 45-year-old man.

While Longview police search for the driver who killed a 28-year-old Kilgore mother in a hit-and-run accident Sunday evening, family members are reaching out in compassion, saying they forgive the person who took their loved one’s life.
“We want the person who was driving the car to know that we forgive them,” said Doc Turk, the victim’s father.

Mark Olson, 46, of the 1600 block of Bensington Court in Normal, was struck at 407 S. Madison St. in Bloomington by a car fleeing the scene of a theft. Olson died from his injuries Monday.
Police have released a composite drawing of the driver and a picture of a pickup truck that matches the description of a witness. The truck was described as a tan or gold 1994-97 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a stepside short bed.

“For 2 1/2 hours we watched my dad die — beat by beat, second by second,” said Steve Nosrat, the victim’s son. “We were not prepared for that.”
At a press conference Tuesday afternoon, family members made an emotional plea for the driver to come forward.
“I’m just asking and I’m begging: if you’re out there, just give the family closure,” said Steve Nosrat.
Police released photos of the scene that show Nosrat’s personal items strewn across the street, including his walker.
They’re asking neighbors and auto shops to look out for a damaged white, silver or light blue 1995 Toyota Avalon.

The grief-stricken family of a Northeastern University graduate pleaded today for the driver of the SUV that fatally struck him and then sped off to come forward.
Andrew Prior, a 23-year-old sign language interpreter, was riding a scooter on Tremont Street near the Roxbury Crossing T station late Sunday when he was hit by what police believe was a metallic charcoal grey or silver 2001 to 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe that kept going toward Brigham Circle.
“That’s been the hardest part to swallow,” said Mark Prior, his older brother. “We’re not hateful people. We believe in forgiveness. We understand accidents happen. Any person in that type of situation would be afraid to stop. But we need that closure. We feel we’re owed that much.”

DANBURY — A city man who allegedly struck and killed a 4-year-old boy with his pick up truck in July was offered a plea deal by prosecutors in Superior Court on Wednesday.

BEIJING — A Chinese police official whose name became national shorthand for anger over abuse of power after his son was accused in a deadly hit-and-run accident has paid more than $69,000 in compensation, the victim’s father said Thursday.

VACAVILLE — “The police department is attempting to say at this point that the truck didn’t run over Alex,” local attorney Edward Duree said. But the parents of 14-year-old Alex Forwerk don’t buy it.
Police now say they don’t think a second vehicle was involved in Friday night’s deadly accident. That contradicts eye-witness reports, including one from Wes Mason, who was next to Alex when it all happened. “I waived my hands. I tried to stop it. But it just didn’t stop. I moved out of the way because he was gonna hit me too. And he ran my friend over again,” Mason said.
The family believes there is a hit-and-run driver out there. They’ve even hired a private investigator to help.
