3732-34. Jacksonville, Fla. May 13. Three middle-schoolers injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene; 13-year-old being questioned.
3735. Lansing, Mich. May 13. 69-year-old man fatally struck by a vehicle similar to a light blue, newer model Chevrolet Cruze which fled the scene.
3736. Jackson, Miss. May 11. 9-year-old boy injured when struck by a silver or white Impala which fled the scene.
3737. Fort Lauderdale, Fla. May 14. 3-year-old injured when struck by a red Volkswagen which fled the scene, but someone got its license-plate number.
3738. Albemarle, NC. May 13. Man in his 20s struck and killed by what was possibly a 2000s model Toyota or Mitsubishi (dark blue/ gray) which fled the scene.
3739. Boise, Idaho. May 14. Woman injured when struck by a teal GMC or Chevy pickup truck which fled the scene.
3740. Houston, Texas. May 15. Man killed when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
3741. Miami, Fla. May 14. Pedestrian injured when struck by a black Jeep Wrangler which fled the scene.
3742. Pittsburgh, Pa. May 14. 12-year-old boy injured when struck by a yellow Chevy Camaro which fled the scene.
3743. Kansas City, Mo. May 14. 11-year-old girl injured when struck by a red Alero which fled the scene.

A man turned himself in Tuesday, two years after a deadly hit and run in the Poconos. Police believe that driver is the brother of the man killed two years ago in Stroudsburg.
The suspect was in court Tuesday on charges he ran over his brother while driving drunk.
Kyle Risko of New Jersey turned himself in at the magistrate’s office in Stroudsburg.
Police say the man and his brother were out at the bars earlier in the evening, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in 2011. When it came time to go home, the suspect’s brother tried stopping him from driving and ended up getting killed.
Police say Kyle Risko first told them he didn’t know what happened to his brother. He was found lying in the middle of North Eight Street in Stroudsburg in March, 2011. …
“Usually in a case like this, there’s a family demanding justice, wanting to get something done, wanting to punish somebody. In this case, the family is definitely not asking for this to be done. The district attorney is doing this against the family’s wishes,” said defense attorney Michael Ventrella.

A man who faces charges in the wreck on Saturday in which a 42-year-old Dallas woman was killed called Grand Prairie police Monday and later gave a formal statement to officers, police reported.
The man was not arrested, said Grand Prairie police Sgt. Eric Hansen. But he could face a charge of failure to stop and render aid, and possibly other charges.
“We have to get a warrant,” Hansen said in an email that asked why the man wasn’t arrested immediately.

Lower Merion police say they have arrested a Havertown man in connection with the hit-and-run last month of a woman and her two young children in the Bryn Mawr section of the township.
On Wednesday, Lower Merion police charged Stephen John Groch, 27, of the unit block of Ellis Road in Havertown, in connection with the hit-and-run that left one child with serious injuries.
According to police, a 46-year-old woman from Bryn Mawr was crossing Lancaster Avenue at Bryn Mawr Avenue April 25 at about 1:30 p.m. She was with her 5-year-old twins when they were struck by a black Ford pickup truck that had traveled north from Bryn Mawr Avenue and before turning onto Lancaster Avenue. The driver failed to stop and continued westbound on Lancaster Avenue.

CLARKE COUNTY, Ga. — A Clarke County judge has denied an accused hit-and-run driver’s requests to relocate and remove his ankle monitor.
William Wilson Heaton Jr. is facing several charges in connection with the crash that left a teen with critical brain injuries.
Police said 19-year-old Emily Bowman was walking in a grassy area off Oak Street in Athens Feb. 16 when Heaton struck her from behind. Police said Heaton then left in his pickup.

A 28-year-old hit-and-run driver who fractured the skull of a pedestrian and then covered up the crash for weeks was sentenced Tuesday to six months in jail.
A prosecutor had asked a judge for eight months of jail time, noting that a passenger in Ronald Jacko’s car told police that Jacko downed whiskey and three beers before and during a Blazer’s game Dec. 13.
Jacko sped through a yellow or red light, cutting off another car, before moving into the lane that pedestrian Ryan Hendryx was crossing at about 10:30 p.m., investigators said.

SEATTLE – A Mukilteo woman has died from extensive injuries she suffered when the driver of a stolen pickup fleeing from police slammed into her car and pushed it into a gas line as she drove to work in Everett at around midnight Sunday.
The woman, identified as Rachael Kamin, 40, had been clinging to life ever since the crash, which pushed her car into a gas main that broke and caught fire.
