3392. Memphis, Tenn. Jan. 23. Unidentified man struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene; “they said half of his face and both of his legs were gone.”
3393-94. St. Petersburg, Fla. Jan. 25. 67-year-old woman killed and 71-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when struck by a black 2006 Ford F-250 which fled the scene but, thanks to a witness, was tracked down within hours, while allegedly still intoxicated.
3395. Grand Prairie, Texas. Jan. 24. 6-year-old boy in a crosswalk ahead of his mother who was pushing a 2-year-old in a stroller struck and killed by a newer model black or dark blue four-door hatchback or small SUV with headlights and tail lights that wrap around the corners which fled the scene. 3396. Balch Springs, Texas. Jan. 25. Fire marshal injured when struck by a dark-colored vehicle which fled the scene.
3397. Austin, Texas. Jan. 24. Bicyclist injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.

Investigators learned that 41-year-old Anthony Michael Oller may have been the person behind the wheel.
Police went to speak with Oller and say they noticed extensive damage to the front of his vehicle.
Oller was arrested for first-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatality accident and driving under suspension.

Miami-Dade Police are handing out flyers, Wednesday morning in hopes of getting any information on the driver who struck and left 67-year-old Juan Valerio to die in the street. “We figure the vehicle is probably local, so we are passing out flyers in English and Spanish,” said Miami-Dade Police Detective Christopher Cuccaro.

Arthur Scanlon has been out on parole after his conviction in the 2010 hit-and-run crash that killed Robert Quist near Quist’s home in Worcester.
Now, Quist’s son David wants to make sure no one has to suffer the pain his family has gone through. He is sending out thousands of postcards to warn people.

WILKES-BARRE — Authorities in Luzerne County spent several hours Thursday evening extensively reconstructing the scene and suspected exit path of a hit-and-run driver that struck and killed a 5-year-old boy days before Christmas.
A Wilkes-Barre police department spokesperson said that the suspected vehicle seized in nearby Plains Township early in January, along with two similar Pontiac Grand Am sedans, were used to plot the suspected path of travel.

Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves says Mariaelena Alvarez of Glendale was struck by an SUV when she stepped onto a northbound lane after her family parked its vehicle on the shoulder to take a break on a trip to Idaho.
Graves says the SUV did not stop but that 70-year-old John Henry Stenseth of Kingman later contacted authorities and said he thought he had hit an animal.

Burns and the Plainfield man were on Church Road before the accident attempting to rescue an 18-year-old female student who had run from Northern Illinois Academy and sat in a southbound lane, authorities said. The two were staff members at the school at 988 Corporate Blvd., which serves students with psychiatric challenges.
Police said they believe Villarreal was driving his 1997 Chevrolet GEO Metro south on Church Road when he struck the two victims. He then stopped the car and fled on foot and police have not been able to find him.
Villarreal’s family has been cooperating with the investigation and reported him missing Wednesday to the Kane County sheriff, authorities said.

Beaverton police say the state police crime lab has determined a vehicle that struck and killed an Aloha teen in a hit-and-run crash was teal or turquoise green.
Investigators have been working to identify the involved vehicle and suspect since the incident occurred Jan. 15.
Shortly before 8 p.m., Harley D. Rocher, 18, was struck in the area of Southwest Laurelwood Avenue and Homewood Street, said Officer Mike Rowe, Beaverton police spokesman. The suspect vehicle, Rowe said, would be damaged on the passenger side. But the extent of the damage is unknown.

Police found tracks leading from the channel and called for an ambulance, saying the 28-year-old man was hypothermic and blacking out. The man suffered apparently non-life-threatening injuries, police said in a prepared release. He was not believed to be intoxicated.
He was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital.
Police found the scene of the accident and determined that the man proceeded through the wetlands and channel after being struck by a vehicle. Police say they gathered “numerous articles of evidence.”
