3302. Warren, Ohio. New Year’s Day. 46-year-old man on bicycle injured when struck by a 2000 beige Lincoln which fled the scene.
3303. Conley, Ga. Jan. 2. 8-year-old girl injured when struck by a dark-colored Pontiac which fled the scene.
3304. Manheim Twp., Pa. Jan. 3. 12-year-old girl injured when, while crossing street to bus stop, she was struck by a dark-colored “crossover” type vehicle which fled the scene.
3305. West Islip, NY. New Year’s Eve. 16-year-old boy left comatose when struck by a light-blue sportscar which fled the scene.
3306. Corpus Christi, Texas. New Year’s Day. 23-year-old woman seriously injured struck by a 2001 Cadillac Deville which fled the scene.
3307. Vallejo, Cal. New Year’s Eve. 40-year-old man injured when struck by a mid-2000s black Mustang which fled the scene.
3308. Bristol, Pa. Jan. 3. Man fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene. Victim struck “with such force that his white sneakers came off, one landing at least 75 feet from the other.” (Another report said the driver remained at the scene.)

LONGMONT, Colo. — A New Year’s Eve fight between two groups of males turned fatal in Longmont, with a teenager becoming the victim of a hit-and-run.
On Thursday, Longmont police spokesperson Jeff Satur confirmed officers arrested Kendra Rae Balentine, 18, and impounded the Chevrolet Cavalier they say was used to hit and kill 16-year-old Jason Grimmer.
Satur said Balentine is a family member to some of the combatants involved in the argument that led to the hit-and-run.

Miguel Cruz Cepeda, 37, is wanted for felony hit and run resulting in serious injury after police say his 2006 black Honda Ridgeline hit a man standing in the roadway on Spainhour Street around 6:40 p.m. Sunday.

A Connecticut woman who’s married to a police officer is accused in a hit-and-run that injured the son of a police officer in Rhode Island.
Police said Adriana Wright, 42, of North Stonington, struck a 16-year-old boy walking along Route 2 in Charlestown at about 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 27. The boy was treated at South County Hospital for a concussion, cuts and bruises.

HARTFORD— A city man charged with fleeing the scene of an accident that killed a 3-year-old boy in 2011 decided against having a trial.
Christian Bordelies, 20, pleaded guilty during a court appearance in December to evading responsibility and negligent homicide with a motor vehicle. He had previously rejected a plea bargain offer from state prosecutors.
He faces three years in prison and four years of probation when he is sentenced Feb. 22, said Deron Freeman, Bordelies’ attorney.

On Wednesday, Saures’ family — both blood-relation and the people who were with him on the streets — hugged each other and cried as they struggled to understand why he died.
Saures, 56, was crossing Wall Ave. at 26th Street near St. Anne’s Center on Christmas Eve, when he was hit by a car. The impact threw him 100 feet, police said. The driver, investigators believe, pulled over — then took off, leaving him to die in the street.
“He was virtually left on the side of the road to die,” said Saures’ niece, Jamie Gonzales. “There was nothing. No compassion. The compassion he gives people, he didn’t even get that. So it’s really hard for us.”
