3968-69. Campbell, Cal. July 20. 20-year-old female and 32-year-old male bicyclists injured when struck by a dark Honda which fled the scene.
3970. Rochester, Minn. July 20. 6-year-old on bicycle injured when struck by a white four-door sedan which fled the scene.
3971. West Palm Beach, Fla. July 21. 49-year-old woman critically injured when struck by a 1999 to 2004 gold four-door Hyundai Sonata which fled the scene.
3972. Queens, NY. July 24. 18-year-old man badly injured when struck by a black Honda which fled the scene but was found ditched a few blocks away.
3973-74. Panorama City, Cal. July 24. Woman and 2-year-old daughter in stroller injured when struck by an SUV which fled the scene; driver later arrested.
3975-76. Indianapolis, Ind. July 24. 64-year-old man and 56-year-old woman on moped seriously injured when struck by a maroon SUV which fled the scene.
3977. Woodbridge, NJ. July 24. 39-year-old woman injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene; driver later arrested.
3978. Philadelphia, Pa. July 18. 52-year-old man injured when struck by an unknown vehicle which fled the scene.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Police Chief Floyd Simpson is speaking-up about the high number of hit and runs in Corpus Christi. He’s asking resident to be more careful to help reverse the deadly trend.
“We’re imploring, begging, pleading the community to stop it. Just stop it,” said Chief Simpson.
In the past year, Police Chief Floyd Simpson, says there have been 1,026 hit and runs in Corpus Christi. 100 of those hit and runs involved people on foot or riding bicycles. Officers says 14 people have died as a result of hit and run drivers this year.
“We’ve already lost… lives to drivers who are plowing people over, not stopping to render aid, texting,” said Chief Simpson.

An hour after a horrific hit-and-run crash at a bus stop that sent a man hurtling through a restaurant drive-through Sunday, Hialeah police had their first clue: a banged-up car being towed a mile away.
A bulletin crackling over the police radio led Officer Manuel Diez to the car, a Toyota Camry with a flat tire. The driver, Henry Paz, 27, was arrested late Sunday.
For his quick work, Diez will be considered for officer of the month and a prize of a day off and a special badge, said police spokesman Carl Zogby.
Sunday night’s crash in front of a Pollo Tropical, in full view of diners inside, killed one man and severely injured another as the car plowed into a sidewalk bus bench at West 49th Street and 16th Avenue.

In New Orleans, over the past three years, about 18 percent of drivers involved in fatal accidents have left the scene. In the nation as a whole, only about 4 percent of drivers involved in fatal crashes leave the scene.

When McIntyre was interviewed at the hospital, she said Wollenzien attacked her at the party and she defended herself. Both threw punches and struck each other, she said. She also said she was struck by the silver car after she got out of the other car, but she didn’t remember why she got out of the car or where she was going because she was “heavily intoxicated,” the complaint said.
