1754-5. Clarksville, Tenn. July 30. Two pedestrians injured when struck by a black or dark SUV which fled the scene.
1756. Tulsa, Okla. July 30. Woman killed when struck by a 2002-03 dark brown or gray Dodge Durango with front end damage which fled the scene. “If the driver had stopped or at least checked on the person, we probably could have gotten some emergency medical help to them faster, and she probably would have had a chance,” police said.
1757. Indianapolis. July 31. Bicyclist killed by an unidentified motorist who fled the scene.
1758-60. Victorville, Cal. July 29. Pregnant 20-year-old woman killed and 14-month-old child hospitalized after being struck by a Ford truck which fled the scene. She had been pushing the toddler in a stroller, from which the child was thrown into the roadway. The mother, who was five months pregnant, and the unborn child died at the scene.
1761. Minneapolis, Minn. July 28. 29-year-old woman injured when struck by an older Harley-Davidson model with a sidecar which fled the scene.
1762. Flagstaff, Ariz. Aug 1. 16-year-old girl killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
1763. South Brunswick, NJ. Aug. 1. 18-year-old man sustained severe injuries when struck by a a white box truck with possible New Jersey license plates which kept driving on the Turnpike. Any motorists who witnessed the accident, or have any knowledge of the vehicle or driver, are asked to call the NJSP’s Cranbury Station at 609.860.9000 x4400.

CLACKAMAS, Ore. – A white cross and flowers mark the spot where 18-year-old Michael Vu was killed early Saturday morning. The recent high school grad was riding his bike when police said a driver swerved into the bike lane, hit Vu, and then fled the scene.
“There are no words to describe the pain that we’re going through, there really isn’t,” said Tina Mounlavongsy, Vu’s cousin.

SOUTHERN PINES, NC (WRAL) – An innocent motorist was forced onto the hood of a suspect’s car – and rode from one NC town to another that way — after a fender bender in the Sandhills spiraled out of control, WRAL reported.
After the man was nearly run over, he landed on the hood and the suspect drove off so quickly Saturday that the man, David Francis, had no choice but to hold on.
“All I really remember is a little kid looking out the window with (his) mouth hanging open, like, ‘Momma, there’s a guy on the hood of that car,” Francis told WRAL-TV about the incident.

MANKATO — As a judge and two lawyers discussed Aaron Whiteaker’s hit-and-run case in a judge’s chambers the day before his plea hearing, one thing they noted was that the young man hadn’t been drinking before he ran over Thanh Vu and left him dying in a parking lot.
Friends of the victim say there are witnesses who say otherwise.

A San Diego police officer facing charges of alleged hit-and-run and driving under the influence was found dead in his backyard, the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
