2553-54. Houston, Texas. May 20. Two women injured when struck by a Geo Prizm which fled the scene
2555. Colonie, NY. May 21. Man struck and killed by a green sedan which fled the scene.
2556. Ypsilanti, Mich. May 19. 55-year-old man injured when struck by an older model Cadillac which fled the scene.
2557. Waterloo, NY. May 21. 30-year-old man killed when struck by a dark-colored pickup truck which fled the scene.
2558. Palm Springs, Cal. May 21. Woman struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2559. Wichita, Kansas. May 19. 40-year-old man on bicycle fatally struck by what is possibly a four-door sedan, white or light-colored, which fled the scene.
2560-61. Lancaster, SC. May 19. Two men injured when struck by a dark colored 2002 Chevy Impala which fled the scene (and which the victims believe hit them intentionally).
2562-63. Springfield, Vt. May 19. Two people in a crosswalk after taking prom pictures injured when struck by a black Toyota Corolla which sped away.

The Austin Police Department charged 71-year-old Philip Toma Luna with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and failure to stop and render aid. Witnesses say he hit the boy when he stepped in the street and kept driving. A neighbor chased Luna in his car and pulled the keys out of his ignition.
According to an affidavit, Luna had a half empty bottle of Coors Light in his car and half empty bottle of Bacardi Rum under his seat. Detectives also found two cans of Coors Light unopened.

The community is pulling for Rowe, who remains unconscious. Krol started collecting donations to help support his family while they stay in San Francisco. Rowe’s sister said she wants the driver responsible to know people love him.
“He is important to other people, to me, my sister, my brother and the man upstairs,” Rock said. “If he didn’t he wouldn’t be hanging on right now.”
The family and the north beach community hopes that driver feels remorse and comes forward. All they can do now is hope Rowe has the strength to survive.

Hernandez was sobbing as she told her story, and then her 23-year-old boyfriend, Michael Sandman, also began to report his version of the incident to officers, police said. He claimed to have allegedly run after the men, but stopped chasing them to return home to get his weapon.
But what the couple didn’t know is that police had been investigating an earlier hit-and-run collision in which witnesses reported seeing a man and woman leaving their car and fleeing the scene.

The driver accused of a hit-and-run that killed a teenager is now also facing child pornography charges.
David Henley Jr., is charged with hitting 14-year-old Ricardo Gonzolez-Figueroa with a truck and leaving the scene. At the time, Henley was also out on bond for two other traffic charges.
Now, 11News has learned it was another traffic violation that helped lead investigators to the child pornography charges.
According to court documents, Henley was caught looking at pornographic pictures of children while he was in class at Pikes Peak Community College in February. At least two students reported it to campus police.
