1916. Kansas City, Mo. Sept. 30. Pedestrian suffers non-life-threatening injuries when struck by a red Chevrolet Camaro which fled the scene.
1917. Independence, Mo. Oct. 1. 58-year-old bicyclist struck and killed by a dark van or SUV which fled the scene.
1918. Salinas, Cal. Oct. 1. 77-year-old woman struck and killed by a full-sized cargo van which then fled the scene.
1919. Portland, Maine. Oct. 2. 19-year-old man injured when struck by a gray Ford sedan which fled the scene.
1920. Philadelphia. Oct. 2. 11-year-old boy on a skateboard injured when struck by a vehicle from which a woman got out, “looked at the boy, then got back in her car and took off.”
1921. Buffalo, NY. Oct. 2. 48-year-old woman struck and killed by a dark green pick-up truck which fled the scene.
1922. Joliet, Ill. Oct. 2. 37-year-old woman fatally “struck by a dark-colored SUV which appeared to be Jeep Cherokee with a metal rack on the top” and sped away.
1923-24. Irving, Texas. Oct. 2. 7-year-old girl and her 57-year-old grandmother struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.
