1665. Birmingham, Al. June 25. 54-year-old woman struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which left her for dead in the street.

1667. Bellingham, Wash. June 27. 23-year-old man hospitalized after being struck by a newer model white Mercedes which fled the scene.
1668-69. Royal Oak Twp., Mich. June 27. 48-year-old woman killed and a man seriously injured after being struck by a silver Chevrolet Corvette, late 1990s or early 2000s, which fled the scene.
1670. Holly Hill, Fla. June 28. 42-year-old woman riding in an electric wheelchair struck and injured by a gold or light brown Lincoln Continental, 1999 to 2002, which fled the scene.
1671. Oakland Park, Fla. June 28. 35-year-old man riding a bicycle struck and killed by a vehicle which left him to die in the street; police found a fender at the scene of the crash they believe broke off the suspect’s vehicle upon impact and have deduced it’s a part of a 2000 to 2002, four-door, maroon ‘S’ series maroon Jaguar.

LONGMONT, Colo. — Police say a woman suspected of causing a fatal crash in Longmont Saturday fled the scene on foot and then tried to swim away from authorities in a nearby lake.
Colorado State Patrol believes 32-year-old Lisa Norton is to blame for a head-on collision Saturday evening that killed 33-year-old Gabriel Nielsen. Troopers say Norton drove her Ford Ranger pickup truck into oncoming traffic and hit Nielsen’s Nissan.
Two other passengers, including a 2-year-old child, were injured.

The accident came just a few days after Eyewitness News exposed the dangers of an intersection located just yards away.
“I believe it’s only a matter of time before someone gets killed at this intersection,” said Justin Karas, the owner of Newk’s Restaurant, last week.
