2423. Meriden, Ct. March 30. 17-year-old girl suffers head injuries when struck by a small, two-door red vehicle which fled the scene.
2424-25. Houston, Texas. March 31. 24-year-old woman and her 2-year-old daughter were struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene. No witnesses; surveillance video indicated the car was black.
2426. Glendale, Cal. March 31. Man injured when struck by an unidentified dark sedan which fled.
2427. Ewing, NJ. March 29. 20-year-old bicyclist injured when he was struck by a four-door car with New Jersey plates beginning with “MN,” police said. After striking the victim, the driver stopped and threw $100 at Markashevsky before fleeing, police said.
2428. Somerton, Ariz. March 29. Pedestrian killed when struck by a 2007 to 2010 model Chevrolet 2500 or 3500 heavy-duty pickup which fled the scene.

The resident told police he had a party at his house the night before and thought someone from the party may have taken his car. Police later discovered the car had been involved in a hit-and-run accident at 4:30 a.m. on Huntington Avenue in Boston. Police said they are still investigating the incident.

Monmouth resident and Western Oregon University professor, Hank Bersani, died Saturday morning when he was struck from behind while bicycling on Highway 99W. CLAREMONT, NC — It’s been 27 days since Cassie Cozzen, a sixth-grade student at Claremont Elementary School, nearly lost her life while she and a friend were walking alongside Oxford School Road near Bunker Hill High School. The 12-year-old was walking with her back to oncoming traffic when an SUV came from behind and blindsided her.
Cozzen was treated for her injuries in Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She returned to her Claremont home on March 20. Her head wounds are continuing to heal. She’s back in school and the doctors took the cast off her arm Monday.
Her parents, Duane and Mona, are relieved that their daughter is home and recovering, but they’re outraged that the driver who left her for dead has never been caught.

State police are asking the public’s help to find the driver of an older model pickup who drove off the road and struck a road sign, according to a news release.
A red Chevrolet or GMC truck with a Confederate flag flying from the bed intentionally left the road in the 3900 block of Bowser Road in Shrewsbury Township, police said. The truck was driven by a white man in his mid 20s.
