2359. Baltimore County, Md. March 9. 14-year-old boy injured when struck by a gray or dark silver Chevrolet Silverado/1500 truck accelerated and veered towards the victim, striking him in the arm. “The suspect is described as an older white male with a heavy build and short gray hair. The gray or dark silver Chevrolet King Cab Silverado/1500 truck is a newer model with a sound-modified exhaust.”
2360-61. Bay Minette, Al. March 10. 23-month-old toddler airlifted to hospital and 18-month-old treated at the scene after being struck by a speeding, allegedly drunk driver who fled the scene in a black Lincoln Continental. Police know driver’s identity; are seeking him.
2362. Bucksport, Maine. March 9. Woman suffers minor injuries when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2363. Lake Land’Or, Va. March 9. 25-year-old woman suffered minor injuries when struck by a dark pick-up which fled the scene.
2364. Baldwin, Pa. March 8. 50-year-old man dies after being struck by a 2003-2007 white Chevrolet Express van or GMC Savana and a “small, dark vehicle,” both of which fled the scene.
2365. East Meadow, NY. March 9. 45-year-old mother bicycling to her children’s school critically injured with serious head injuries after she “accidentally banged into the mirror of a parked car and fell off her bike. Police said a passing motorist crushed the bicycle and helpless victim and never slowed down.”

The Indiana Sheriff’s Department confirmed Thursday a “person of interest” is in custody in connection with Tuesday’s hit-and-run that struck four correctional officers, killing one.
Police said in a statement the suspect surrendered late Wednesday night after his attorney contacted the sheriff’s office and informed them the man wanted to turn himself in. The suspect’s vehicle has since been impounded.

It happened at Perimeter Mall in DeKalb County on the evening of Feb. 22, in front of the Macy’s store.
“The vehicle stopped and began backing up,” Sgt. Mike Carlson of the Dunwoody Police Department said.

Friends, family and fans gathered in North Hollywood Thursday evening to honor the late actress and dancer Zina Bethune, killed tragically in a hit-and-run accident last month.
Bethune stopped to help a wounded animal on Forest Lawn Drive when police say she was struck by two cars. Neither of the vehicle stopped, said authorities.They also said the second car dragged her more than 600 feet.
