An ongoing collection of unsolved hit-and-run cases, with a focus on car/pedestrian incidents, from across the country since Jan. ‘010. If you know something about any of these incidents, or one that I’ve missed, do the right thing and call the police, even anonymously.
2335. Nogales, Ariz. Feb. 29. 18-year-old man struck and killed by a light sedan which fled the scene.
2336. Fresno, Cal. March 1. 54-year-old man struck and killed by a dark-colored Nissan Altima the driver of which drove away after the crash.
2337. Kerrville, Texas. March 1. 49-year-old woman on a bicycle struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2338. Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. March 3. 70-year-old grandmother struck and killed by a gray Ford F-150 from which the driver got out, glanced back at the body and then fled. “She had recently become more health-conscious, and opted for a walk instead of driving her new Hyundai Sonata, her sons said.”
2339. Bradenton, Fla. March 3. Unidentified woman struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2340. Burlington, NC. March 2. 34-year-old man injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2341. San Francisco, Cal. March 3. 60-year-old man critically injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2342. Corpus Christi, Texas. March 4. Man in mid-20s to mid-30s on a bicycle struck and critically injured by one car which stayed and a second which fled.
2343. Nashville, Tenn. March 3. Man in his late 50s or early 60s struck and killed by a white Honda sedan and a white car with a broken windshield, possibly a Nissan Altima, both of which fled.
2344. Los Angeles. March 4. Woman sleeping in a tent on Skid Row injured when struck by a gray Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix which fled the scene.
2345. Fort Worth, Texas. March 4. Five-year-old Khila Hayes struck and killed by a red Suburban which fled the scene.
2346. Memphis, Tenn. March 4. 44-year-old off-duty police officer struck and injured by a small gray car, possibly a Toyota, which fled the scene.

Luckey had a friend, Joycecillia Morris, support her assertion to police, Bell said.

Ian Eckardt-Rigberg, 19, walked out of the Albany County Judicial Center on Lodge Street with his parents around noon Friday, angering friends of Rozell Whitehead who had hoped the teen would stay behind bars until after Whitehead’s Saturday funeral.

But records suggest things didn’t go well for the Marquette University graduate and son of a Naperville attorney.
Since Lech’s death, McCarthy has been charged with DUI and assaulting a family member. The address on his driving record apparently belongs to a facility for the homeless and mentally ill.
And he signed an affidavit Monday that said he makes $110 a month, despite successfully finishing college with a double major nearly six years ago. He claims to work at an area pizza restaurant, according to the affadavit.
Facebook posts under his name remark on topics like the selection of an NBC news show host, a book’s translation to film, and an Auburn Tigers hoodie bought on eBay.
Dear Perry Minton, Your cunt of a client Gabrielle Nestande deserves everything her victims’ supporters say to her, so you can stop trying to make an alleged killer sympathetic.

Perry Minton, one of Nestande’s lawyers, said the man then told Nestande: “you are a vile human being.”
Minton said he then told the man to act like a gentleman.
Nestande continued into state District Judge Karen Sage’s courtroom in the Blackwell-Thurman Criminal Justice Center downtown, where she cried while lawyers in the case met at the bench.
Nestande continued to cry as she left the courtroom a short time later and got on the elevator with her three lawyers — Roy Minton, Perry Minton and Samuel Bassett.
Minton explained in an email later in the day that in court he and the other lawyers “told the judge that although we do not begrudge the family’s passions about the loss of their daughter (as well as their friends), but we do not feel that Gabby deserves to be treated this manner.”

John G. Tawresey, a member of the Bainbridge Island School Board, was arrested Wednesday evening for alleged hit-and-run and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Tawresey, 67, of Gowen Place on Bainbridge Island, hit at least one vehicle outside the San Carlos restaurant on Madison Avenue, police said. Witnesses said he tried to drive away, but bystanders prevented him from doing so by standing in front of his vehicle as they called 911.

When police found the truck parked farther up the road, the female driver got out and ran into the desert but was caught and arrested for a possible DUI.
The bicyclist was transported to University Medical Center’s trauma center with a broken ankle and head lacerations.

Stanislaus County prosecutors Friday charged Riverbank City Councilman Jesse James White with drunken driving and causing an injury to his 4-year-old son, as well as hit-and-run driving and resisting a police officer in connection with a Feb. 20 traffic accident.
Prosecutors allege White’s blood-alcohol level was 0.24 percent, three times the limit at which a driver is considered to be under the influence. White, 23, wrecked his Corvette about 1 a.m. Feb. 20 in Oakdale. Police claim he crashed into a parked car on F Street and then tried to flee before being tackled and held by bystanders until officers arrived.

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Police in Charlotte say a Charlotte Law student and former college football player is facing murder charges after he threw a man in front of a moving car, killing him, during a bar dispute.
Caught, convicted, court appearance or car-on-car in … Portland, Ore.; Franklin, Tenn.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Huntersville, NC; Sharpsburg, Pa.; Bessemer, Ala.; Blue Point, NY.
The incident on Route 198 was caught on video by a nearby Metrobus’ onboard camera, and Laurel police released the clip in hopes that someone with information will come forward.
