2312. Sacramento, Cal. Feb. 19. 45-year-old man critically injured when struck by a newer model charcoal gray sedan, possibly a Honda, which fled the scene.
2313. Union City, Ga. Feb. 19. 29-year-old woman struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2314. Richmond, Va. Feb. 20. 21-year-old man suffers “very life-threatening injuries” when struck and dragged by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2315. Austin, Texas. Feb. 19. 24-year-old man fatally struck by three cars. One remained at the scene; unknown gray or white SUV and a 2010 Volkswagon Jetta fled.

A southern New Jersey woman faces 14 years in state prison after admitting she killed a man in a hit-and-run accident while driving drunk.
Linda Demarest pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident charges in the July 2010 crash in Buena Vista Township. She admitted hitting 38-year-old David Brown of Newfield, who was attending to his vehicle when he was struck.

Kylie has been seriously responding to my mom’s commands and doing so very quickly. So far today, she has given a BIG smile, a thumbs up, stuck out her tongue and showed us two fingers when asked. How amazing is His love for us and Kylie’s fighting spirit!! We had a very emotional moment during physical therapy too.
Kylie gave my mom a big hug and the love between them was a beautiful sight. Shane was also here for a hug and when he whispered in Kylie’s ear she raised her head up and squeezed him. Everyone tried not to cry tears of joy. My mom, Shane and Jane Quarto actually washed and braided Kylie’s hair while she was sitting up in the chair. How beautiful she looks!!
Even though they aren’t the professionals that Makenzy is, they will do in a pinch. Doctors are moving closer and closer to Kylie coming home. Mom is both sad and glad.
Looking so forward to getting Kylie back home to begin rehab, but sad for her to leave her friends in Austin. Once again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who continues to pray for Kylie and us.

FORT LEE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – Prosecutors say the man arrested early Tuesday and charged with killing his girlfriend in a hit-and-run in Fort Lee, New Jersey may have been trying to flee the country.
The Bergen County prosecutor’s office said 26-year-old Charles J. Ann has been charged with murdering 25-year-old Aena Hong after they say he ran over Hong several times with his car around 5 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Anderson Avenue and Inwood Terrace.

“Justice will be served,” he told Channel 2 Action News on Monday. He declined any further interviews Tuesday.
