1576. Wheaton, Md. May 24. Woman killed and her husband critically injured after being struck by a passing vehicle while getting off a bus. Driver stopped briefly before fleeing.
1577. Austin, Texas. May 25. Man suffers life-threatening injuries when struck by a Silver Chrysler 300M, made between 1999 and 2004 while putting gas into his vehicle.
1578. Volusia, Fla. May 25. 14-year-old seriously injured after being struck by a silver Toyota Echo which fled the scene.
1579. Indianapolis. May 25. 15-year-old boy and a stray dog he picked up injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene. “Police said the impact knocked off Dominique Young’s shoes. Officers found Young, Indianapolis, wandering through an alley barefoot with a friend minutes afterward. He had a cut on his head and had no recollection of the accident.”
1580. Meridian, Miss. May 25. 5-year-old girl playing with friends injured when struck by a blue Dodge Neon which fled the scene.
1581. Dallas. May 26. 57-year-old woman in a wheelchair was struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle that left pieces of her motorized wheelchair were strewn down the six-lane road.
1582. Chicago. May 26. 8-year-old boy getting dropped at school in serious condition with bleeding on the brain after getting struck by a white car while being dropped off in front of his elementary school.
1583. Oxnard, Cal. May 26. 37-year-old man on a bicycle seriously injured when struck by a gray Nissan Versa which fled the scene.

Quirino Aguisanda, 86, known by loved ones as “Pop,” was crossing Farrington Highway in a crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver did not stop.
“Pop Rino would honestly because he loved god, probably he would forgive him, and the family does,” said Pastor Camille Omo. “Pop would just say ‘ I forgive you’ you know and we love you.”
