2635. Coon Rapids, Minn. June 13. 9-year-old boy suffers traumatic brain injuries when struck by a glossy black two-door extended cab 1993 to 1998 Chevy Z-71 with a short box which fled the scene.
2636. York, Pa. June 13. 63-year-old woman injured when struck by three vehicles, two of which fled the scene.
2637. Barrington, RI. June 9. 13-year-old boy suffers minor injuries when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2638-39. Sheffield Township, Ohio. June 14. 17-year-old walking on the side of the street with his 4-year-old brother both injured when struck by a light-colored vehicle which fled the scene.
2640. Wilkes-Barre, Pa. June 15. Man in wheelchair injured when struck by a a small silver sedan, possibly a Honda Accord or Subaru Legacy, which fled the scene.

Barnstable police responded to the intersection of Route 28 and Pitchers Way just after 2 a.m. Thursday where they found a bicyclist down.
The victim was taken to Cape Cod hospital and pronounced dead.
The victim is 20-year-old Sheila Moreta who had just finished her first shift at Wendy’s. She was biking home when a gray BMW, driven by 23-year-old Angelica Barroso, hit Moreta, dragging her body into the corner of the road, before taking off.

Daniel Barnett, 25, of El Sobrante, was caught by Richmond police and federal agents after a brief pursuit Tuesday and charged with vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and felony hit-and-run, according to Richmond police Detective Nicole Abetkov.
Barnett struck and killed David Cox, 52, of Richmond on Sept. 23 near the intersection of 34th Street and Esmond Avenue, police said.
Cox, an avid Oakland Raiders fan, was a lifelong Richmond resident who used a wheelchair because he had spina bifida. Police said that Barnett’s car simply rolled up from behind and struck Cox.

A van driven by Frank Rega struck a 23-year-old woman who was standing in front of a disabled car in Bridgeport on March 15, police said. The woman became stuck on the driver’s side fender, but Rega drove off, even as she was yelling at him and hitting him in the face in an attempt to get him to stop, police said.

Reading (Pa.) police have identified the suspect in the hit-and-run death of a 3-year-old city girl.
Justin Taylor, 18, of Dogwood Drive, South Heidelberg Township, was charged with homicide by vehicle in the death of Ja-Lexy Bobet, police said Friday. The girl was struck and killed by a pickup truck Thursday night at 10th and Cotton streets, less than a half block from her home.
Police announced the arrest of Taylor about 6 p.m. Friday.
A truck believed to be the one that hit the child was found abandoned earlier in the day near Antietam Lake, police said.

Folks should be on the look-out for a Honda—probably a Civic—with front-end damage to the passenger’s side bumper and headlight assembly. Most obviously, the Honda will be missing a passenger’s side exterior mirror. It will also be missing the black molding strip on the passenger’s side B pillar, which runs vertically between the front and rear doors.
PCSP Sgt. Larry LaFlower told the Chesterton Tribune today that it’s possible the suspect has garaged his or her vehicle and plans to have it repaired when the heat is off. It may also be under a tarp.

Officers had suspicions that Munguia-Torres might have information, as he had been seen attempting to start one of the involved vehicles just before police arrived. Munguia-Torres stated that he was preparing food when a vehicle (that he could not describe) struck him and drove away.
The officer struggled to accept the believability of that story, as there was no food preparation equipment (barbeque grills/outdoor stoves) anywhere in the vicinity.
