3171. Des Moines, Iowa. Nov. 18. Woman jogging suffers a fractured back, broken bones in her foot, a fractured collar bone, a concussion and road burn when struck by a silver Toyota four-door sedan which fled the scene.
3172. Glen Burnie, Md. Nov. 20. Man in his 30s suffers traumatic injuries when struck by a maroon minivan which fled the scene.
3173. Temple, Texas. Nov. 20. Woman suffers non-life-threatening injuries when struck by a white SUV which fled the scene.
3174. San Jose, Cal. Nov. 22. Man fatally struck by a dark sedan which fled the scene.

Abbey was hit about 10 a.m. Friday at Fifth Avenue North and 29th Street, police said.

BATTLE GROUND, Wash. – Police are still asking for tips from the public related to an unsolved hit-and-run crash that killed a 22-year-old woman in May.
Tatyana Tupikova was hit and killed on May 9 at around 9 p.m. while she was walking northbound on State Highway 503 in Battle Ground, police said.
Police believe Tupikova was hit by a passing vehicle or possibly an item extending from a vehicle.
Her body was discovered by a passerby on May 11 about a quarter of a mile south of Main Street.
Investigators said Tupikova was hit while walking home from a movie theater.

Police on Wednesday released an updated vehicle description in the fatal hit-and-run of a bicyclist earlier this month on Stockton Boulevard.
Molly Arndt, 61, was crossing Stockton Boulevard near Lawrence Drive Nov. 11 at 5:28 p.m., when a pickup truck hit her, slowed down, then took off, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
The suspect vehicle has been described as a 1992-1998 Chevy Silverado 1500 or a GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck. It’s also described as two-wheel drive, standard cab, short bed, white in color and with a plain tailgate and a truck bed toolbox. There should be damage to the left front grill area, the SPD stated.

William Murphy, 45, of the 800 block of Delview Drive, was combative with police and tried to flee apprehension, according to the probable-cause affidavit, written by Folcroft Patrolman Thomas Kesser.

Metro Police arrested Charles Wenman Towns on Tuesday on charges stemming from a South Nashville hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a 25-year-old man.
Towns, who had been convicted of DUI in 2011, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death, failure to report an accident involving death and driving on a revoked license.
But he has not been charged with vehicular homicide.

Clementina Funes, 88, succumbed to her injuries Wednesday at an area trauma center, police said.
Funes was crossing in the crosswalk at Alameda at Virginia streets when she was struck by a vehicle at about 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16.
The car is described as a silver, four-door 2001 to 2003 Mazda Protege with significant front end damage on the driver’s side, including a broken left headlight, as well as possible windshield damage.
