3193. Hampton, Va. Nov. 27. Man suffers non-life-threatening injuries when struck by a two-door car which fled the scene.
3194. Secaucus, NJ. Nov. 26. 23-year-old man injured when struck by a blue minivan which fled the scene.
3195. Honolulu, Hawaii. Nov. 27. Woman in her 50s injured when struck by an unidentified vehcile which fled the scene.
3196-97. Seattle, Wash. Nov. 28. 17- and 18-year-old females intentionally struck by a black Honda which fled the scene. (Update: Driver surrenders)
3198. Cocoa Beach, Fla. Nov. 28. 34-year-old woman struck and killed by a 2011 Dodge Caravan which fled the scene.
3199. Knoxville, Tenn. Nov. 29. 19-year-old woman injured when struck by a grey pickup truck which fled the scene.

PORT ARANSAS – A man has come forward to police claiming he is the person involved in a hit and run that injured a Port Aransas teen last week.
According to 17-year-old Jake Dubose’s mother, he suffered a fractured eye socket and road rash when hit by a truck on Wednesday evening while crossing the street at South Station and East Avenue J.
Police say around 4pm Monday an 18-year old man came down to the department to confess that he left the scene.

Alorton police say they found the body of Katherine Knight along Illinois Route 15 just after 5 a.m. Sunday. Police say the 56-year-old woman was apparently trying to cross the street near the intersection of Route 15 and Pocket Road when she was hit. Her sister is making a plea to the public.
“Just let us know something, if anyone at the gas station out there by the Budget Motel knows anything, please, I heard she was leaving from over there, let us know what happened,” said Bernadine Fant.

A hit-and-run driver struck a pedestrian in Newton Centre late Monday afternoon but came forward hours later, and a 90-year-old man was hit in the same intersection an hour later by a driver who stopped, Newton police said.

It all started at about 12:15 a.m. when an OSP trooper tried to stop a car for a traffic violation on Portland Road near I-5, investigators said.
The driver refused to pull over and instead hit the gas, leading authorities on a chase along Salem and Keizer area roads at speeds near 80 mph, troopers said.
The car was involved in a crash with two other cars at the intersection of Silverton Rd NE and Fisher Rd NE, FOX 12 learned.
No one was hurt, but the eluding car continued eastbound from the crash scene until it came to a stop in the 4100 block of Silverton Rd NE.
OSP troopers and deputies then took 29-year-old Rosalind Garcia, of Keizer, and 30-year-old Lisa Alcala, of Salem, into custody.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) – A York County elementary school principal was arrested after a hit and run in the Williamsburg area on Nov. 18.
Sgt. Michelle Anaya with the Virginia State Police said troopers were called to the corner of Penniman Road and Vineyard Lane in Williamsburg around 12:45 a.m. for a report of a hit and run. According to witnesses, a white SUV struck a utility pole and fled the scene.
Troopers were able to locate the vehicle and the driver, identified as 38-year-old Okrika Kamari Harold, 38, in the 100 block of Valor Court in Williamsburg. Harold was arrested and is facing charges of DUI and hit and run with property damage.

Mannix told police she had one glass of margarita during dinner with her parents Friday and “maybe six beers” at a friend’s house later that night, according to the probable cause affidavit. She was on her way home, around 2:30 a.m., when the accident happened.
Mannix, who was visiting from Kansas City, Mo., was driving about 45 miles an hour “when she struck something,” documents said. She told police she exited her Toyota Camry and looked around for 10 or 15 seconds but didn’t find anything so she drove off.
She said she “freaked out” and made a terrible decision by leaving, documents said.

A driver whose out-of-control car sent a concrete garbage can flying into a 67-year-old San Mateo pedestrian who later died was charged yesterday with gross vehicular manslaughter, felony hit and run and child endangerment.

TORRANCE, Calif. (AP) — A substance abuse counselor was charged with murder and drunken-driving Tuesday after authorities said she struck a pedestrian and drove for more than two miles with the dying victim embedded in the windshield of her car.
And I quote (IX)…
The suspect, identified as Ella Miller, 45, initially had help in trying to hide from police in the home, according to the affidavit.
At first, the woman who answered the door of the home where the truck was parked told police she didn’t know whose truck it was. She went inside the house to ask whose it was, came back out, told police there was no one in the home with her, though the officer clearly heard her talking to someone. Confronted with that evidence, the woman changed her story, and another woman came to the door. However, neither woman matched the description of the truck’s driver as provided by the witness.
By the time the officer and his cadet partner were finished with the questioning and looked in the backyard of the house, six different women had come to the door or were seen inside the home before Miller was identified.

LONOKE (KATV) – State Police have arrested a suspect in the August hit-and-run death of a 39-year-old woman.
Bill Sadler with Arkansas State Police (ASP) confirms 50-year-old Robert Lee Glover of Carlisle was charged with a Class D felony November 13. Lt. Jim Kulesa with the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office tells Channel 7 News that Glover has since bonded out of jail.
Police say 39-year old Kimberly Perkins was trying to flag-down help Friday, August 27 after the vehicle in which she was a passenger ran out of gas. She was hit by an SUV near Lonoke on U.S. Highway 70 near Cypress Creek Road.

Falls police say Mark Kerwood, 39, another Nearwood Lane resident, was driving the work van that was involved in the Dec. 31, 2011, hit-and-run accident that left a boy with a broken leg.
And I quote (XII)…
A Ward County Resident is dead after a late night hit and run crash. A witness called Minot police and reported that a man had left the scene of a hit and run accident. Police located the suspect speeding down 11th Avenue East and followed him.
Moments later, officers came upon the vehicle down in a coolie off of Sunrise Court. The suspect had missed a right turn in the roadway, driven off a steep hill, and crashed into an embankment. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An off duty Chicago Police officer allegedly crashed his car into a young woman riding her bicycle and later blamed her for causing the accident.
Michael Bergeson, 33, even called 911 twice after the Aug. 3 incident at California and Wabansia but claimed ignorance as to why she was injured, Cook County prosecutors said.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man who was charged with misdemeanor DUI in an August hit-and-run at the Jacksonville Landing that left one person dead was arrested on Sunday in Baker County and is facing another DUI charge.
32-year-old Brian Patterson of Macclenny was pulled over after an officer spotted him slamming on his brakes at a stop sign and stopping about five feet into an intersection. He failed several sobriety tests and was arrested and booked on a charge of driving under the influence.
