3096. Fremont, Neb. Oct. 30. 49-year-old man on a faulty bicycle injured when collided with a black car which fled the scene.
3097-98. Greensboro, NC. Halloween. 30-year-old woman injured when struck twice by an SUV which fled the scene. The limo driver with whom she was speaking was also injured.
3099. Birmingham, Ala. Halloween. Woman in her 40s critically injured when struck by a grey or dark-colored Kia which fled the scene.
3100. Harrisburg, Pa. Halloween. Woman in her late teens to early 20s struck and killed by a vehicle which fled the scene but was later found.
3101. West Palm Beach, Fla. Oct. 30. 69-year-old man critically injured when struck by a white or tan newer-model SUV which fled the scene.
3102. Chubbuck, Idaho. Oct. 30. Woman suffers minor injuries when struck by a newer-model white four-door Suzuki which fled the scene.
3103. Venice, Fla. Oct. 31. 41-year-old woman struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
3104. Brighton, Mass. Halloween. 44-year-old woman injured when struck by a white SUV-like vehicle which fled the scene.
3105. Anne Arundel Co., Md. Nov. 1. 57-year-old man critically injured when struck by a 1997-2005 minivan which fled the scene. (Update)
3106. Portland, Oreg. Halloween. 60-year-old man struck and killed by a dark SUV which fled the scene.
3107. Flagstaff, Ariz. Oct. 30. 28-year-old man suffers minor injuries when struck by a purple car which fled the scene.
3108. Dallas, Texas. Halloween. 22-year-old man suffers critical injuries when struck by a maroon Lincoln SUV which fled the scene.
3109-10. Los Angeles, Cal. (Watts). Halloween. 10-year-old boy and 46-year-old woman injured when, while trick-or-treating, they were struck a silver Suzuki which fled the scene.
3111. Jacksonville, Fla. Nov. 2. Unidentified man suffers life-threatening injuries when struck by an older-model white sedan which fled the scene.
3112. Irwindale, Cal. Nov. 2. Woman in her 80s struck and killed by a gray Ford Focus which fled the scene.

Columbia, S.C. — Columbia Police are trying to determine whether a car stolen in a fatal shooting in September is the same car that hit a nurse earlier that night outside a local hospital.
Investigators have recovered the white 1996 Mazda Protege belonging to Michael L. Davis, and are processing it for evidence that might link it to a Sept. 16 hit-and-run that severely injured nurse Lindsay Bires at 2:25 a.m.
Bires and other hospital employees were standing outside the hospital on Medical Park Drive on a break when a white sedan barreled down the road and onto the sidewalk. Other employees jumped out of the way before the vehicle struck 24-year-old Bires.

SPRINGFIELD (Oreg). — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a car involved in an Oct. 15 hit-and-run incident that injured a 12-year-old girl.
The girl was struck in a crosswalk at Pioneer Parkway and Centennial Boulevard as she walked to volleyball practice, police said. She reported that she was nearly across the intersection when she heard brakes and was struck and knocked down by a late-model, dark or burnt-orange four-door sedan.

Authorities are hoping the public can help them solve a hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a Brownsville teenager two years ago.
Brownsville police said 18-year-old Eric Villarreal was killed on Tandy Road around 2 a.m. on Halloween 2010.
Despite having a description of a vehicle and surveillance video from a nearby hotel, police have not been able to make an arrest.

PHOENIX — Tom Horne caused more than $1,000 worth of damage to another vehicle before driving away without leaving a note, ostensibly according to FBI agents to conceal an affair.

Diann Sharnell Ford, 22, died after she was struck by a vehicle on October 25th of 2011. Police say Diann, who was eight months pregnant, had just completed her shift at the Long John Silver’s restaurant on Interstate 35 around 11:05 p.m. and began walking home.
While she was crossing the access road in front of the McDonald’s restaurant in the 1100 block of Interstate 35 North, Diann was hit by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle slowed down, but then left the scene without stopping or attempting to help Diann.
Diann was transported to University Medical Center at Brackenridge in Austin, where she delivered a healthy baby girl.
“Two days later, Diann died from complications from her injuries,” said Sgt. Christopher Tureaud, a police investigator on the case. “She was eight months pregnant when she was struck and killed by the driver who fled the scene.”

An alleged out-of-control, hit-and-run driver plowed into multiple cars over multiple blocks of Chester (Pa.) Wednesday night resulting in a multi-vehicle crash that left another woman dead. In total, at least nine cars were struck by the driver, Chester Police said.

PORTLAND – Six defendants in a deadly Portland hit-and-run case that led to a multi-state search earlier this year will change their not-guilty pleas, prosecutors said.
Ashley Chavez and her five co-defendants are expected to plead guilty to various charges in connection with the death of 63-year-old Nancy Schoeffler on March 31.

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) — Police have arrested a driver whom they say hit a person with a minivan during a party in southern Vermont before driving off.
Police arrested 35-year-old Heather Birmingham in Brattleboro on Thursday night.
They say the incident happened Saturday night during a fight at a party in Whitingham.
Hit-and-run drivers deserve beatings even if they don’t spit on the cops.

SEATTLE — A Seattle police officer is under investigation for the way he arrested a hit-and-run suspect, and newly-obtained video sheds light on the controversial case.
Police say Leo Etherly matched the description of a wanted man. On October 6, they spotted him leaving a van that also matched the description of the suspect vehicle and attempted to question him at the corner of 23rd and Union.
But officers say Etherly wouldn’t cooperate during questioning. In the end, Etherly was badly beaten after police say he spit on them.
