2936. Long Hill Twp., NJ. Aug. 10. 22-year-old man injured when, while riding a bicycle, he was struck by a red vehicle which fled the scene.
2937-38. Fresno, Cal. Aug. 24. Mother and 1-year-old avoid serious injury when brushed by a pickup which fled the scene.
2939. Wellesley, Mass. Man in his 40s on bike killed when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene. (Update: suspect IDd)
2940. Chicago. Aug. 25. 30-year-old man struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2941. San Antonio, Texas. Aug. 24. 46-year-old man struck and killed by an SUV which fled the scene.
2942. Indianapolis, Ind. Aug. 25. Man critically injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2943. Smithfield, NC. Aug. 25. Man struck and killed by an unknown vehicle which fled the scene.
2944. Philadelphia. Aug. 26. Unidentified man struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
2945. Oceanside, Cal. Aug. 26. 58-year-old man struck and killed by a late 1990s or early 2000s minivan that was dark-colored, possibly green, which fled the scene.
2946. Durham, NC. Aug. 26. 33-year-old man struck and killed by a which fled the scene; suspect since identified.
2947-50. Sangaree, SC. Aug. 26. 10-year-old Sydney Hopkins, 13-year-old Evan Hopkins, 14-year-old Dotty Jackson, and 10-year-old Harleigh Eury injured when struck by a silver Ford Taurus which fled the scene.
2951-53. Las Vegas, Nev. Aug. 26. Child and two adults injured when struck by an SUV which drove into a bus stop and fled the scene, only to get cornered by witnesses in a parking lot..

Jacksonville police have charged a man with murder after accusing him of pummeling the driver of a truck who then ran over and killed another man near The Jacksonville Landing. Greg Allen Johnson, 26, is charged with murder after being accused of beating the unidentified truck driver, causing him to speed away and run over Taylor Evans, 22, said Lt. Rob Schoonover of the Sheriff’s Office. Schoonover said Johnson’s actions on Aug. 10 led the badly beaten driver to flee for his life, causing the accident.
