WILKES-BARRE — A judge in Luzerne County signed off on more search warrants on Friday in the ongoing investigation of a deadly hit and run in Wilkes-Barre.
Now Wilkes-Barre police want to look at cell phone records and electronic navigation systems belonging to the person who owns the truck that authorities believe may have hit the young woman last month and kept going.
Police have now released the truck back to its owner, Danny Loughnane, but Loughnane was not there to pick it up.

West Allis Police say it all started when a two men entered a Ford Explorer, and hit two parked cars in the 59-hundred block of West Burnham outside Danny’s Lounge. In the process, a man and woman who were standing by the parked cars were hit. Those two people should be okay.
The Ford Explorer kept going and hit another car. That’s when someone down the road pulled out a gun and fired shots at the Explorer. Police don’t think anyone was injured from the shooting.

St. James, MO (KSDK)– Police have made an arrest in connection with a deadly hit and run. Lisa Persicke, 44, was hit by a car early Sunday morning on Old Highway 66 near County Road 2290. Running was Persicke’s passion. She competed in the Boston Marathon.

WILKES-BARRE – District Judge Martin Kane approved a search warrant this morning for cell phone data for Daniel Loughnane, who is being investigated for the hit-and-run crash that killed 19-year-old Rebecca McCallick.

The victim chased him to Washington in his car and blocked him from going any further. Officers said once both drivers stopped, the original victim of the hit and run accident started beating the other driver. That beating victim was knocked out and accidentally hit the gas, running his car on the sidewalk and hitting a passerby. That driver and the pedestrian who was hit, both refused medical treatment.
