Continuing a tradition that I started back during the Philly mayoral-primary season, Republican mayoral candidate Melissa Murray Bailey came to Quizzo at Billy Murphy’s Irish Saloonery last night. Even people who like her Democratic foe both personally and professionally said they were impressed by how she fielded questions from the crowd.
She even took a couple digs at her highly favored foe.

“There have been 98 mayors, and they’ve all been men. There’s been no Republican mayor since the 1950s,” she said at the end of the night, asking people for their votes to help bring about a result that would “make history.”
