I’ve known Will Parks since his days playing football for Germantown High School (see here, here and here).
I’ve also liked the Denver Broncos since the days when John Elway’s side was getting repeatedly slaughtered in the Super Bowl.
So it should come as no surprise that when I walked into a room at the Clarion Hotel down near the Philly airport on Saturday that I predicted he’d get selected by the Denver Broncos in the draft that day.
More than five hours later, that prediction became fact with a call from Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak (which you can see here, at the 1:20 mark).
To see Will get drafted yesterday was an incredible scene; to see him get drafted by the Broncos means it’s time to update my orange-and-blue jersey collection.

We've taken Will Parks, a safety from Arizona, in the 6th rd. He's a versatile player with really good instincts. Glad he's a Bronco.
