Figured there would be some letters-to-the-editor blowback from last Sunday’s über-insightful anti-soccer screed from noted futbol mind Matt Zencey.
The paper ran two snippets of them today.
One, as you can see, was headlined “Give them back their ball, mister” which sounds to me like an cheeky op-ed page editor was trying to say, “See, whiny soccer fans, we gave you a little room to respond. Now, shut up and go play like good little boys and girls.”
Maybe I’m reading too far into it. Only, I’m not.
