New Jersey’s favorite prosecutor? Stuart Drobny. Here’s why …
Stuart Drobny, a native of Vineland, NJ, and the founder and president of Stumar Investigations, has been named the “2010 William O’Neill Investigator of the Year” by the New Jersey Licensed Private Investigators Association (NJLPIA). The new accolade comes just weeks after Drobny was honored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for his work helping to identify and stop the purchase and sale of counterfeit consumers goods in order to finance Hezbollah.
“I have the best team of any firm I know of and I couldn’t be prouder to work with them. I may be getting the public praise, but there’s no way I could do it without them,” he said.
In his announcement of the award, Jimmie Mesis, the Editor-in-Chief of PI Magazine, wrote, “Stuart is a fine example of a dedicated professional investigator who was also recently honored by the FBI for his investigative skills and contribution on a major case that affected the security of our country.”
In May, Drobny was honored by the FBI for being part of a team that helped stop money flowing to terrorists. The investigation was in partnership with the law firm Carlton Fields and shareholder Jim Baldinger in support of a Joint Terrorism Task Force operation that resulted in the indictment of 26 alleged Hezbollah operatives and sympathizers on charges that the goods were shipped overseas and sold at a profit in order to provide funds for Hezbollah to use for the procurement of a wide variety of weapons, including Stinger anti-aircraft missiles.
Now, if he could only look into why Gov. Chris Christie pays someone $60,000 a year to put zero to four posts up on Twitter a day.
