Philadelphia Police have released video of a — I don’t know how better to even describe them — savage pack of teenaged girls who attacked a 19-year-old Temple student with a brick the other day in North Philly. (And it could be part of a trend).
While the attack wasn’t caught on camera — at least not that the police released — the pack was.
Here’s hoping these kids get locked up (UPDATE: THEY DID) and, while inside, someone smacks the shit out of them (UPDATE: Since they turned themselves in, I’ll walk that sentiment back a little).
On March 21, 2014, at 6:00pm, the complainant her boyfriend were walking on the 1600 block of Norris Street. When they came to the intersection of 17th and Norris Streets, they were approached by a large group of unknown females. One of the female suspects then struck the complainant in the face with a brick causing extensive damage while the other females attempted to rob the complainant’s boyfriend. After the assault the suspects fled the area and were last seen boarding a SEPTA bus traveling south on 17th Street. The complainant was transported to Hahnemann Hospital where she was treated for dislocated teeth and other facial injuries.
Suspect Description:
Suspect #1: Black female, 16-17 years-of-age, braids, and wearing a red t-shirt.
Suspect #2: Black female, 16-17 years-of-age, straight hair, tattoos on her arms and chest, and wearing a denim jacket.
Suspect #3: Black female, 16-17 years-of-age, hair tied in a bun, 5’0″, and acted hyper.

Philadelphia- The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office has charged 16-year-old Najee Bilaal, 15-year-old Zaria Estes, and 15-year-old Kanesha Gainey with Aggravated Assault, Conspiracy, Possession of an Instrument of a Crime (PIC), Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person (REAP) for several assaults near the Temple campus on March 21, 2014.
All three defendants have been charged as Direct File Juveniles; i.e. they have been charged as adults by the District Attorney’s Office. The defendants have been arraigned; bail for Gainey was set at $75,000, and bail for Estes and Bilaal was set at $100,000 each. The next listing for all three is April 10, 2014 in courtroom 1006.
