Best line on TV in a long time?

Fare thee well, Sayid

Fare thee well, Sayid

I hope this doesn’t serve as a spoiler for people who haven’t seen this week’s Lost yet.

But, I’ll build in a little space so you can click on another post just in case.

Fine, if you’re still here, you realized all that went wrong on the submarine. But in the mess of it all, I heard, well, what the title of this post says: what may have been the best line on TV in a long time.

Forty-seven minutes into the episode, Hurley getting Kate to safety, tells Jack he has to go after Sayid. Then …

Jack to Hurley: There is no Sayid.

Four succinct words with a whole lot of confusing meaning. But, I wonder, could there still be a Sayid?

P.S. I’m not exaggerating when I say this season of Lost has a lot — and I mean A LOT — of similarities to how coma dreams manifest themselves, and what they look like. It’s frightening, really.
