After a 1-1 draw which drove the aggregate score to 3-1, Barcelona sent the whiners also known as Real Madrid home yesterday. No, I’m not entirely comfortable with Barca’s theatrics, but I’m less comfortable with the chippy cheap shots Real Madrid consistently takes throughout the course of a match, thus deserving the yellow and red cards they get.
Barcelona is clearly, albeit slightly, the superior side and having notched a 2-1-2 record in the season’s five El Clasicos, I’m of the mind that Manchester United or Schalke (I haven’t ruled them out yet; today’s match could go either way, though like to go Man U’s way) stands a chance of defeating them.
