PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon State Police announced Friday that a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that killed a Molalla man has turned himself in. Troopers said the driver hit 67-year-old Thomas Mossman as he was riding his bike along Highway 211 on March 22. Mossman was taken to a Portland hospital, but later died from his injuries.

Marco Acuapan, 22, was riding westbound in a bike lane on Walnut near Browning Avenue about 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17 when he was struck by a red Ford Mustang driven by Renato Demartino, police said.
Police say Demartino, 65, fled the scene of the crash. He was taken into custody several hours later when officers found his vehicle abandoned in a cul-de-sac on Epping Way and arrested him at his nearby home.
