7919. Henderson, Nev. Feb. 24. 50-year-old woman fatally struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

7920. Dobson, NC. Feb. 25. 15-year-old male injured when struck by a white Jeep Cherokee which fled the scene.

7921. Fort Collins, Colo. Feb. 24. 30-year-old male injured when struck by a dark-colored SUV which fled the scene.

7922. San Diego, Cal. Feb. 24. 17-year-old male injured when struck by a gray Honda SUV which fled the scene.

And I quote (I)…

Police arrested a woman who they say struck an 8-year-old boy with her vehicle on Indianapolis’ west side Thursday morning, then drove off.

And I quote (II)…

A driver accused of striking two young girls and then fleeing the scene, leaving one brain dead, pleaded not guilty to two felony charges Wednesday.

Julianne Little, 30, pleaded not guilty to felony vehicular manslaughter, non-alcohol with gross negligence, and one count of felony hit-and-run with injury. Little was initially arrested on a DUI charge, but prosecutors declined to file the charge until they receive toxicology results.

“We want justice. Based on the outpouring of love that we’ve seen from this community, we can’t help but believe that the entire Lake Charles community would like to see justice in this particular place for the taking of a human life,” Jones said.

An Orlando police officer cited on Super Bowl Sunday for leaving the scene of an accident in her police-issued car in Altamonte Springs has been removed from her job in the internal affairs division, a spokeswoman said.

SPRINGFIELD — An allegedly intoxicated 24-year-old Round Table Pizza driver, out making a delivery Wednesday afternoon, spent the night in the Lane County Jail after police say she hit a military veteran with her car and then attempted to leave the scene.

Rachel Mariah Chandler of Eugene is now facing a number of charges, including resisting arrest, reckless driving, hit-and-run, driving under the influence of intoxicants and two counts of harassment.

And I quote (VII)…

“It is a young life cut short and we are still reeling from the information, barely able to assimilate the reality that Chris is gone,” the GoFundMe page writes. “We pray that Chris is now in his Mom’s arms and has found rest and peace.”

Raquel LeeAnn Rosete, 10, went into cardiac arrest and suffered a traumatic brain injury when she and a 12-year-old companion were struck by 2006 Toyota Corolla, allegedly driven by 30-year-old Julianne Little, on Santo Road near Shields Street Saturday evening. Raquel was taken to Rady Children’s Hospital, where she was placed on life support and declared brain-dead.

The medical examiner’s office listed her time of death as shortly before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

It was early on the morning of July 25 when Jennifer Johnson, driving in her work vehicle, came across a 72-year-old man lying injured on Seventh Avenue in Bozeman.

“If she had not stopped, this could have been a far worse outcome,” said Bozeman Police Chief Steve Crawford.

But Johnson did stop. She used her vehicle to block traffic to protect 72-year-old William Kasun, who had been struck by a driver who fled the scene. Johnson covered him with a coat and stayed by his side until medics could arrive, remaining calm throughout the entire situation.

NORTH ADAMS — A Williamstown couple are facing multiple charges in the hit-and-run incident earlier this month that left a woman in a coma.

Sally J. Gould, 71, and John T. Gould, 69, both of White Oaks Road in Williamstown, were arrested at the Williamstown Police Station at about 12:45 p.m.

“I was standing there in awe because, what are you doing? Don’t you realize I have pictures of you?” said Peal.

Stress and loss of sleep over an alleged stalker may be behind a fatal hit-and-run in Tierrasanta, an attorney explained Thursday.

The Alcoa city manager’s wife was jailed this weekend on DUI, drug and assault charges after reportedly fleeing a crash scene and berating, threatening and assaulting law enforcement.

“My dad will never get to see his grandson. He knew was born and we were making plans for him to get to see him and now he’ll never get to see him,” says Maestas.

And I quote (XVI)…

A Queens precinct stationhouse was reeling Sunday after losing a rookie cop in a hit-and-run crash just two days after a commanding officer suffered a heart attack.

Officer Vincent Harrison, 25, was killed — after surviving a collision with an SUV during a lane change — when a third vehicle screamed by and plowed into him on the New Jersey Turnpike about 3 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

And I quote (XVII)…

A 19-year-old Macomb Township man who turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday after an early morning fatal hit-and-run in Oxford Township was released Wednesday as police await toxicology results and “forensic examinations of physical evidence.”

The process is expected to take six or seven weeks.

The victim, identified as Jordyn Brooke Puckett, 26, from Orion Township, was found dead on the road in Oxford Township.
