Mount Prospect police have released surveillance video showing the hit-and-run crash on Algonquin Road that took the life of an Arlington Heights man Sunday night.
The video shows the man, identified Tuesday as 46-year-old Jose Felix Gonzalez-Navarette, crossing Algonquin near its intersection with Briarwood Drive. The video cuts out moments before a dark-colored sedan driving east on Algonquin Road strikes Gonzalez-Navarette.

MTA employee Edward Rivera, 45, hit Alex Guzman, 17, while he was bicycling on Lexington Avenue and East 105th Street with a 2011 Hyndai Accord about 2:40 p.m. Sunday, sources said.

A bicyclist died 17 days after a February hit-and-run crash in the east valley, Las Vegas police said Thursday.
Gerald Scrimshire, 55, died Feb. 21, according to the Clark County coroner’s office. The coroner released the cause of death Thursday, police said.
