So, as most of you know, I’m pretty close to first-time fatherhood. I know the whole dynamic of “my schedule” is losing the first word, and that’s fine.
But here’s what I’m grappling with: I’ll always be a hands-on reader, even if that means giving up one of two sleep hours to do so. And after Sunday’s baby shower, I realize a lot of that reading will become children’s books (plus anything by Palahniuk for me). Which is also fine: I’ll take it as seeking the educational theory behind each one I read to wee lad.
My question: I have to cut magazine subscriptions because there won’t be enough hours in the next 18 years to get to them all. Here’s my list. Which should I keep? (* = inclined to still get.)
