Also, so much win: At last count (which means a little under 97 percent of the votes counted), President Barack Obama won Philadelphia with more than 85 percent of the vote (551,070-90,989).
When I spoke to Mayor Michael Nutter last night — who told me that contrary to popular opinion, he has no plans on taking off for a Washington D.C. gig in Obama’s second term — he said that kind of GOTV ground game proved integral. “It’s an incredible night, a historic night. I could not be happier. The president deserved to be re-elected,” he told me for a story on NewsWorks.
