Lacey-Mae suffers from achondroplasia, which is “bone growth that causes the most common type of dwarfism.” She’s eight years old, could pass for four and seems considerably more well-adjusted than the regular Tiara-seeking Toddlers on this here show. Her mother says the pageants help with her self-esteem. This was, in fact, the first time I saw the merits of pageantry not just on the show, but in life itself.

But when she did her voodoo performance at the Around the World Pageant, she blew white dust from her hand. This was disturbing in that I looked like the scene in True Romance where Balki gets caught with blow all over him. See …

As for Damitri’ana, she suffers from a mom who had her in pageants when she was two weeks (or was it months?) old, and who competes with her sister to see who can choreograph pageant routines which get higher scores than sis’s. Paid off, apparently, since she won grand supreme which enabled her to flash a wad of cash like she was in Hollywood Shuffle.
