The one that every media outlet in town picked up on Tuesday when Philly Police officially deemed it a robbery and released surveillance footage from Pathmark?
And the one for which some news sites are pointing toward to their super-investigative powers as having led the video’s discovery? (This, despite the fact that my initial post was actually sent to NE Philly investigators, per a police spokesperson).
No? Well, here’s it is.
Anyway, police now have in custody two of the four Mensans who didn’t realize boasting about said robbery on Twitter might could result in their arrests.
So, um, congratulations to those reporters taking credit a few days after the fact, I guess. Don’t worry: The fact checkers are busy with Obama and Romney.
A 17-year-old man accused of taking part in a grocery store beating and robbery was arrested on Wednesday. Police say the teen was picked up on the 2500 block of Kensington Avenue in Philadelphia.
Late Wednesday, police nabbed a second teenager in the caught on store surveillance camera beating.
The moral of the story: Don’t post videos of you and your friends (allegedly) robbing people in Northeast Philly Pathmark’s and you might not find yourselves either hiding from police or hoping to make bail.

Philadelphia: The District Attorney’s Office has charged 17 year old Kevin Tavarez with Conspiracy, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, PIC, Receiving Stolen Property, Terroristic Threats, Theft, Simple Assault and REAP for the September 29, 2012 assault and robbery of man at a Pathmark supermarket in Northeast Philadelphia.
18 year old Tomas Eanes and 17 year old Jose Ruiz are facing Conspiracy, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, PIC, Receiving Stolen Property, Theft, and Simple Assault and REAP charges for the same assault. Both Tavarez and Ruiz have been charged as adults. All three defendants are scheduled to be arraigned later today.
