2153. Wheaton, Md. Dec. 17. Man killed when struck by a Chevrolet sedan, landed in the road and was struck again by a dark sport-utility vehicle. Sedan stopped; SUV didn’t.
2154. White Mountain Apache, Ariz. Dec. 17. 23-year-old man struck and killed by a white pickup truck which did a U-Turn and sped away.
2155. Fresno, Cal. Dec. 17. Man in wheelchair dies after being struck by car and SUV. “Police say the man in the wheelchair was at fault, but since neither driver stopped they are facing felony hit and run charges.” As well they should.
2156. Gloucester Twp., NJ. Dec. 18. Pedestrian, who was not identified, suffered non-life threatening injuries when struck by blue car believed to be a BMW or another German-made model which fled.
2157. Lebanon Twp., Pa. Dec. 17. 19-year-old man injured when struck by a dark pick-up truck with a ladder rack that fled the scene.
2158. Rogers, Ark. Dec. 20. 23-year-old man injured when a tan-colored mid-2000 model Chevrolet Blazer struck him and fled the scene.
2159. Jupiter, Fla. Dec. 20. 94-year-old woman suffers life-threatening injuries when she was struck by a dark colored SUV which left the area.
2160. Elk River, Minn. Dec. 12. 50-year-old woman suffers non-life-threatening injuries when a white van allegedly backed into her, knocked her down and left the scene.

Concerned the smoking car might catch fire, Yeiser’s wife Akyshia called 911. Allyn headed onto his front porch to survey the scene. After scanning through the darkness, he noticed a man lying on the sidewalk across the street. He raced over.
“I was screaming, ‘Old head. old head, you hear me?'” said Allyn.
The man was barely breathing and bleeding from his mouth. Allyn waited with him until police arrived at 44 E. Price St.
“I just was trying to have hope,” said Allyn. “It was crazy.”
The man died soon afterwards at Albert Einstein Medical Center, according to police.

In a news release officials from the Oshkosh Police Department said they are looking for multiple black men who caused a disturbance and then got into the vehicle that struck the 31-year-old man before leaving the scene.

TACOMA, Wash. – Two friends arguing in the street over gas money led to a deadly hit-and-run crash Friday night in Tacoma, say witnesses who watched in horror as one of the women got into her SUV and ran over the other one.

MEDFORD, Ore — A suspect in a hit run was arrested after police tracked his cell phone. John Leroy Burns used his friends van to run over two men. Medford Police responded to the call of a hit and run on West 10th St.
Burns had left the scene but he texted a friend to tell him what happened. The friend notified police.
And I quote (IV)…
A Southern Colorado family told only 11 News they’re lucky to have their brother alive. His bike was crushed under a car in a hit and run accident. Friends said that victim is feeling much better.
The Colorado Springs Police Department is still searching for a suspect. There were three people in the car, officers said they had the driver and one passenger in custody, but there’s still another suspect on the run. At this point, they don’t know where he is and don’t have much of a description.

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) – A Brevard County Park Ranger patrol vehicle was found crashed into a tree in Wickham Park Monday morning and police later arrested the ranger for his involvement in another crash earlier this month.

CHESAPEAKE: A driver charged with being drunk and fleeing the scene of an accident Saturday evening left an important item behind, according to police: a bumper with his license plate.
Rhene Carranza, 52, faces felony DUI and hit-and-run charges in connection with the wreck, which took place at the intersection of Indian River and Sparrow roads, police spokeswoman Kelly O’Sullivan said.

Aaron Sakran, 20, of 4225 Inverrary Drive in the Town of Clay admitted in County Court this morning that he was “huffing” chemical fumes moments before he ran down and killed a pedestrian along the side of Oswego Road in October. Sakran pleaded guilty before Judge Anthony Aloi to a single felony count of second-degree manslaughter in the Oct. 5 death of Joseph Ozimek III. District Attorney William Fitzpatrick and Aloi agreed to a sentence of 2 1/3 to seven years in prison.

As the family of Brynn Barton hung ornaments and decorated a Christmas tree this season, they did so with sadness rather than the usual joy.
They were creating an entry for the Festival of Trees in honor of Barton, 24, who was struck and killed in June while riding her bicycle in Salt Lake City.
Her family members have dedicated themselves to keeping Barton’s legacy alive by giving service. Barton, who was a registered nurse at the University of Utah, had traveled the world on humanitarian aid missions.
This is their first Christmas without her.

A suspect in a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a pedestrian in Port Washington was arrested Monday afternoon at his workplace in Sheboygan.
The man — a 55-year-old Port Washington resident — turned himself in and is expected to be charged with causing great bodily harm by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, among other criminal traffic violations, according to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities are still looking for the driver who hit a pedestrian last night in Bustleton. A woman was struck by a car around 5 p.m. on the 9900-block of Bustleton Avenue near Norwalk Road, and the driver took off. The woman is expected to recover, but a description of the car that hit her hasn’t been released.
