1994. Washington, DC. Oct. 23. 32-year-old man fatally hit and dragged by a vehicle that left the scene.
1995. Decatur, Ala. Oct. 23. 8-year-old injured when hit by an 80’s, 4-door dark blue or black BMW that fled the scene.
1996. Houston. Oct. 23. 44-year-old woman struck and killed by a silver Toyota, possibly a Camry, which fled the scene.
1997. Walker, Mich. Oct. 23. 39-year-old man struck and killed by a silver car, possibly a Honda based on debris found at the scene, which fled.
1998. Phoenix, Ariz. Oct. 25. Bicyclist killed when struck by a tan with dark fenders semi which didn’t stop.
1999. Bronx, NY. Oct. 25. 43-year-old man struck and killed by a livery cab which fled and a trash truck which stayed at the scene.
2000. Salinas, Cal. Oct. 25. 17-year-old boy suffers head trauma and a possible broken leg after being struck by an older 1990’s red work van which fled the scene.
2001. Santa Monica, Cal. Oct. 26. Man fatally struck by a visibly damaged charcoal gray Toyota Camry which fled the scene.

Pete Nanez Uranga, 34, of the 600 block of Richardson Road in Mesilla Park, remains at University Medical Center of El Paso where he is being treated for multiple self-inflicted stab wounds to his neck.

A senior Syracuse University lacrosse player is facing driving while intoxicated, hit and run and resisting arrest charges following a crash in a car owned by the SU lacrosse coach early morning Monday in the Westcott Street area.

“If I am driving a vehicle and there’s a cyclist, if I hit him – whether I am aware of it or not – it still is my fault,” Lefevre said.
Lefevre claims the NYPD has kept her in the dark regarding the investigation and tells Gothamist that she has learned most of the information through the media. She said she read in a newspaper that police wouldn’t be pressing charges.

A man convicted of slamming his car into two men outside a Boy Scout meeting near Olympia earlier this year apologized to the victims and said he never meant to hurt anyone.
A judge sentenced Kody Chipman to three years and four months in prison Wednesday for his role in the incident in which two men confronted him for driving recklessly through a parking lot. Police said Chipman threw his vehicle in reverse and struck Dee Cooper and his son-in-law, Dan Kitchings.
“I’d like to take this time to express my deep apologies to you and your families,” Chipman said, addressing the victims. “I felt horrible about what happened to you and I felt sorry for all your families have had to go through.”
