1858. Minneapolis. Sept. 8. 74-year-old man on a bicycle was injured when struck by a blue van that fled the scene.
1859. Myrtle Beach, SC. Sept. 9. Bicyclist injured when struck by a burgundy colored Cadillac which fled the scene.
1860. Charlotte, NC. Sept. 9. High-school student suffers potentially life-threatening injuries when struck by a four-door SUV or truck which fled the scene.
1861. Hollywood, Fla. Sept. 9. 6-year-old Jacob Shaked was riding his bike with training wheels still on it when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene, leaving him on a respirator with fractured bones and head injuries. Jacob’s father, Yariv Shaked, said, “It’s heartbreaking. Everybody’s very devastated: my family, my friends, our neighbors. It’s very hard.”
1862. Smithfield, RI. Sept. 10. 21-year-old man injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
1863. Keansburg, NJ. Sept.9. 20-year-old man injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
1864. Brown Deer, Wisc. Sept. 11. 41-year-old man injured when struck by an older black or dark-colored Chevy Monte Carlo.
1865. Scottsdale, Ariz. Sept. 11. 31-year-old man fatally struck by a silver pickup truck, possibly a Chevy Silverado, that fled the scene.
