The Washington Twp. (NJ) police officer who hit a 27-year-old man, left him for dead in a South Jersey street has turned herself in. Classy that she only waited three weeks to do so. Kind of convenient for a clean drug/alcohol screening, isn’t it?

Officer Kelly Gunderson was enlisted in the United States Air Force as a member of the Security Forces Career Field for six years. She was also assigned as a member of the Pacific Air Force Headquarters Elite Guard. She was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant in 2004
With all due respect to the Air Force, there’s nothing honorable about a person who cares so little about someone’s well-being that they flee the scene in their car. I hope she serves time.
Kelly Gunderson, 33, of Sewell, was charged earlier today with knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in serious bodily injury, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
Gunderson is accused of striking Vance Banks, 27, as he walked home from work along Sicklerville Road in Winslow Township around 1 a.m. on Aug. 18. Authorities said Gunderson then drove away, leaving Banks lying along the road.
The following day, about 14 hours after the crash, she called Winslow police and reported the crash, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Banks remains in a coma at Cooper Hospital in Camden.
Kelly Gunderson, badge number #140, is a disgusting human being.

my prayers are with the Banks family, in sincere hopes that Vance will fully recover. It sickens and saddens me that a sworn member of law enforcement would commit such a heinous, cowardly act. Thank you Brian, for following these stories, and not back-shelving them as the media tends to do after the first day or two, when another tradgedy takes place…..
