John Steigerwald Is The Worst Person On Earth

steigerwald150 Almost a year to the day after I named Andrew Gay Jr. “the worst person on earth” for his rousing performance as “Philadelphia attorney who said a near-fatal hit-and-run is ‘a knee-jerk reaction is what we’d expect out of any 22-year-old,’” along comes columnist John Steigerwald from some newspaper called the Observer-Record in Washington, Pa. (I hadn’t heard of it, either, so you know it’s something special).

Anyway, old gingerstash decides to write about the near-fatal beating of San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow (whom he referred to as “Snow” throughout the grammatically challenged “column” until it got corrected) at the hands of two Dodgers fans. It was a shocking tragedy, one that left him in a medically induced coma with some skull taken out. I’ll let fuckface take it from here:

Maybe someone can ask Stow, if he ever comes out of his coma, why he thought it was a good idea to wear Giants’ gear to a Dodgers’ home opener when there was a history of out-of-control drunkenness and arrests at that event going back several years.

Ah yes, the old “slut was asking for it” response to rape victims. Good stuff. Classy stuff.

Granted, if I was half the douchebag of Steigerwald, I’d lash out and blame everybody for everything. But what I wouldn’t do is blame someone who’s in a coma and might emerge to a life of brain-damaged challenges for getting jumped by a couple of punk-ass gangster thugs because they chose to wore a jersey, for Opening Day, to support the team.

Maybe someone can ask Steigerwald, if he ever comes out of the “writes stuff to get a rise out of people” coma, why he thought it was a good idea to write something so idiotically insensitive that he proved he’s destined for Hell.
