15996. EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (FOX 9) – A woman and two children in Eden Prairie were hospitalized Thursday night after a driver struck them in a crosswalk and fled the scene.
15997. According to a news release from the CPD, officers responded Thursday around 8:30 p.m. to a 911 call about a man lying in the road on the 200 block of Providence Blvd. When officers arrived, they found a man who was unresponsive in the roadway. Officers also saw some vehicle parts, according to the CPD.
15998. HOUSTON – Authorities are looking for whoever hit and ran a bicyclist early Friday morning near Houston’s northside.
15999. A 33-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle on Green Mount Road, and the driver fled the scene, police said.
16000. For days, 12 News has pressed Wichita Police about why a murder suspect was released from the hospital without being placed under arrest. On Thursday, the department announced a policy update to prevent similar situations, requiring guards to monitor suspects accused of violent crimes while they receive hospital care.
16001. A pedestrian was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run crash on the Northwest Side, according to San Antonio police.
16002. Long Beach police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash that happened on the Pacific Coast Highway on Wednesday. It happened at around 8:10 p.m. near Oregon Avenue and PCH, where officers were dispatched after learning of a person who was found on the sidewalk “with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle,” said a news release from the Long Beach Police Department.
16003. HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico police are investigating a hit-and-run that left one woman dead Friday, Aug. 22.

16009. SAN ANTONIO – An off-duty officer with the La Villa Police Department is hospitalized after being a victim of a hit-and run on the West Side.
16010. EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. – Arkansas State Police officials have released the name of the victim in a deadly hit-and-run over the weekend. Police identified the victim as 61-year-old Penny Bowling of Holiday Island.

16012. LONGWOOD, the Bronx (WABC) — A pedestrian was found fatally struck by a car in the Longwood section of the Bronx early Tuesday.
16013. RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A cyclist was killed in a crash early Tuesday morning, according to the Reno Police Department (RPD).
16014. The Tampa Police Department says officers have found the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that injured a man riding an electric bike on Dale Mabry Hwy. early Wednesday, but the driver remains on the run.
16015. “It was very scary, very traumatic for the girl that got hit, obviously. The other girls are very traumatized by it, too. To see something like that happen is just awful,” said Cliff Thomas, the stepfather of one of the victim’s friends. “So our concern is that we need witnesses to come forward to get whoever did this arrested.”
