15958. PORTLAND, Ore. — A bicyclist was seriously injured when he was struck in a hit-and-run crash on the Morrison Bridge on Sunday morning, police said.
15959. Port of San Diego Harbor Police Saturday asked the public for help identifying the driver and vehicle responsible for striking a female pedestrian and leaving her to die in the street.
15960. Police are searching for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash early Monday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
15961. TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Tucson Police Department is looking for the driver who killed a pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday, Aug. 10.
15962. A bicyclist was fatally struck in a hit-and-run collision Monday night in east Louisville, according to Louisville Metro Police.
15963. A witness, who didn’t want to go on camera, says she pulled over to help Jones. She says the car Jones was driving had run out of oil and locked up. She tried giving her a jump, but her car wouldn’t start. The witness says Jones was crying and distraught. “For the family, I hope they get closure and they find out what happened. For the person, I just wish they would have stopped at least called (for help), maybe she would have still been alive.”
15964. BRIDGEPORT — City police are investigating after a person riding a scooter was injured in a hit-and-run on State Street Monday, an official says.
15965. RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Washoe County School District Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that left one student injured. They say the student at O’Brien Middle School was walking in the crosswalk at Stead Boulevard and Silver Lake Road at 7:42 a.m. Tuesday when they were struck by a dark-colored Hyundai Palisade that fled the scene.
15966. A truck driver was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Wednesday on I-75 North in Marietta. Terrell Lowdermilk, 36, was struck by a vehicle while standing in the left lane of the entrance ramp from South Marietta Parkway.
15967. SPRINGFIELD GARDENS, Queens (WABC) — Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old man who was struck and killed crossing the street early Wednesday morning near John F. Kennedy International Airport.
15968. Erika “Tilly” Edwards was killed around 9 p.m. June 29; she had just finished performing at a nearby fundraiser, her husband wrote on Instagram. Kris Edwards was mourning the loss of his wife after they “just bought a house … to grow our family. We wanted to have kids and we were taking the next step to make a home. And now that’s all gone.”
15969. Omaha police are on the hunt for three separate drivers who have one thing in common. Each one committed a hit-and-run offense and in two of the cases they sent victims to the hospital.
15970. A hit-and-run crash last month that left a 63-year-old man dead is under investigation, according to the Stockton Police Department.
15971. Baltimore police are investigating a fatal pedestrian-involved hit-and-run Downtown early Thursday morning.
15972. Cox witnessed a hit-and-run crash on Harry and Rock that killed a 14-year-old boy on Wednesday; he said it was the worst, most graphic thing he’d ever seen. Police say a preliminary investigation indicates a BMW was traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit a power pole and then a utility box. The impact forced the power pole and utility box into 14-year-old Jackson Nzabonimpa, who died on the scene from his injuries.
15973. The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a deadly hit-and-run late Thursday night. Officers were called to 21st and Brown streets around 11:40 p.m., where a vehicle struck a pedestrian and left the scene, according to the Milwaukee police.
15974. They found 27-year-old Blair Sawyer, who had been hit while riding a bicycle. He was rushed to the hospital, where he died shortly after arriving. According to police, a driver was entering the intersection when they hit Sawyer with their vehicle.
