Charlotte Kish died following a three-vehicle crash around 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jul 6, a few blocks from her home, the Associated Press reports.

Despite the conditions, when Corporal William Ferrell saw a stranded driver along Route 15 in Frederick County, he stopped.Corporal Ferrell, just 21 years old from North Carolina, was standing on the side of the road outside of his own truck when he was hit. State Police Crash Team Investigators believe Cpl. Ferrell was struck by a heavy duty pickup truck, likely towing a car hauler and trailer.
A group has launched a fundraising page for the funeral and burial costs of a 23-year-old cyclist who was killed in a hit and run crash in Southeast last month. D.C. Police identified Jerrell Robert Elliot days after the incident and are still searching for the driver of the car.

SAN ANTONIO – A police officer who was hit by a car while off-duty has passed away.
Ernesto Vasquez, an eight year veteran of the San Antonio Police Department passed away Sunday.
Vasquez’s wife, Diana Marileen Lopez, is accused hitting him with a vehicle on New Year’s Eve when he was off-duty. Lopez took off from the accident scene.
Vasquez had been in a coma for the past six months.
