Natalie Jansen is a 24-year-old dancer from Milwaukee. Her heart was “savagely broken” at the end of a four-year relationship.
David Dees is a 31-year-old consultant from Atlanta. Whatever. With all due respect to David, I watch Dating Naked for the ladies. And I will do so again when season three premieres later this month, as I have in seasons past.
That’s them in that picture right above here, in Bora Bora.
In any event, knowing my dedication to trashy-TV blogging, a review screener of the premiere episode made its way to me from VH1. I won’t give too much away here, as I’ll review it in due time. But here are a few observations:
David, who loved his ex- but wasn’t in love, played basketball in college. Against Delonte West.
Natalie loves beer and she’s attractive. She was attacked by a dog when she was 2 and had to get facial reconstruction surgery on the reg.
They both seem chill. There’s a chance they’ll end up wanting one another at season’s end.
Especially if they line her up with a bunch of dudes like cable-TV salesman Vinny from Detroit who worries about appearing “too rapey” before complimenting how “limber” she looks. He’s very weird. Oh yeah, he does a tuck on screen, too. Look:
Anyway, David’s first non-co-contestant date is with a lady named Dorothy — a mermaid fan — who thinks she’d date herself if she was a guy, and that she looks better naked. This bodes well for season-three talent selection.
There’s also a dude named Zakk on this episode. Zakk is the lead vocalist in a death-metal band.
We’ll delve deeper into the episode intricacies when it premieres later this month, but suffice it to say, it seems from this screener that season three will be better than season two, which was ok but nothing extraordinary. Here’s hoping.
