7187. Phoenix, Az. Sept. 18. Woman in 60s fatally struck by a yellow pickup truck which fled the scene.
7188. Turner, Maine. Sept. 18. 21-year-old woman fatally struck by a pickup truck which fled the scene; possible vehicle later found.
7189. Anaheim, Cal. Sept. 18. 33-year-old man on bicycle critically injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene; possible vehicle later found.

7199. Tarzana, Cal. Sept. 22. 15-year-old girl fatally struck by a vehicle which fled the scene, according to early reports.
7200. Jefferson, NJ. Sept. 19. 24-year-old man fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene: “I guess he thought he was doing the right thing (by walking) instead of driving. It’s unfortunate that it took his life.”

The 55-year-old victim was in a bike lane, pedaling to the east up a hill in the 2700 block of Clairemont Drive, when a 2005 to 2009 model Buick LaCrosse struck her from behind shortly before 8 a.m. last Thursday, according to San Diego police. The driver did not stop and left the area, Sgt. Ray Battrick said.

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – A Portland woman is slowly recovering after a hit-and-run driver slammed into her while she was riding her bike.
Hannah Davison said she suffered a broken orbital bone, facial lacerations, a broken shoulder and a cracked vertebrae in the crash at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10. She required reconstructive surgery to repair her eye socket and the deep cuts in her face.
“I definitely went over the top of the car. So there’s a pretty solid impact with the ground, afterward, so there was kind of a double hitter of I hit the car and hit the ground,” said Davison.

“Bob was a beautiful man,” Haag’s cousin Michelle Yurgin said. “He cared about everybody, he loved his children to death.”
Haag left behind 3-year-old Alan and a 7-year-old Caelen. As an organ donor, Haag also gave the gift of life to three other people, including a 12-year-old girl.
“To know that his beautiful heart is living on with someone else, that’s who Bob was,” Yurgin said.
