5911. Toledo, Ohio. Nov. 17. Man fatally struck by a dark-colored 2007 Chevy Impala which fled the scene.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — In the early morning hours of Oct. 5, as this college town was celebrating another big football victory by Florida State University, a starting cornerback on the team drove his car into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by a teenager returning home from a job at the Olive Garden.
Both cars were totaled. But rather than remain at the scene as the law requires, the football player, P. J. Williams, left his wrecked vehicle in the street and fled into the darkness along with his two passengers, including Ronald Darby, the team’s other starting cornerback.
The Tallahassee police responded to the off-campus accident, eventually reaching out to the Florida State University police and the university’s athletic department.
By the next day, it was as if the hit and run had never happened.

STAMFORD — The driver suspected of fleeing the scene as two people lay dying following a horrific crash last week on Stamford’s West Side was publicly identified by police Friday.
Police are asking for the public’s help and are offering a $500 reward to anyone who can help them find Felicia Burl, a 32-year-old felon with a long criminal record, suspected of being at the wheel of a 2002 Nissan Altima that ran through a red light at Alvord Lane and slammed into the side of a Greenwich couple’s station wagon.

DANBURY–The search continues for the hit-and-run driver who killed 23-year-old Rachel Sack, a mother of a two-month-old son.
On Friday night Danbury Police canvassed the intersection of South Street and Great Pasture Road, passing out flyers as cars drove by the site where Sack was struck after a night out with friends last weekend.
Police printed details about the fatal crash in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
“[To] make sure the public is aware and if they have any information to bring to us, we’d really appreciate if they contacted us on it,” said Sgt. Rory DeRocco of Danbury Police.

ALAMEDA COUNTY (CBS SF) — A 34-year-old man with a criminal history including convictions for animal abuse and the brutal beating of an elderly woman has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run that killed a teenage boy near San Leandro last week, according to Alameda County authorities.
Sonny Anderson was found at a hotel and taken into custody after a police K-9 bit him in the arm. He is accused in the death of 14-year-old Ivan Cruz, who was struck at 6:19 p.m. Tuesday in a crosswalk at East 14th Street and Ashland Avenue.
