5541. Gloucester Twp., NJ. Aug. 24. 23-year-old man injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5542. Warr Acres, Okla. Aug. 24. 45-year-old woman injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene; driver arrested shortly thereafter.
5543. Hollywood, Cal. Aug. 25. Man in his 30s fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.

Painstaking forensic testing has narrowed the description of the vehicle suspected of striking and killing a teenager on Interstate 88 near Joslin in March, Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Chris Endress said Thursday.
Emilio Perez, 17, of Villa Park, Ill., was westbound on Interstate 88 when he ran out of gas a mile east of the Joslin exit and began to walk on the roadway, Endress said. Perez got a half a mile when, at about 7:25 p.m., he was struck by a westbound vehicle.
