5458. Gray, La. Aug. 2. 29-year-old man on bicycle fatally struck by a vehicle which fled the scene, driver later found.
5459-60. Las Vegas, Nev. Aug. 1. 71-year-old man and 74-year-old woman fatally struck by a dark-colored Nissan sedan which fled the scene.
5461. Douglas Co., Ga. Aug. 2. Pedestrian fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5462. Cary, NC. July 31. Teen on bicycle injured when struck by a 2000-2005 Chevy suburban which fled the scene.
5463-64. Oak Park Heights, Minn. Aug. 2. 37-year-old man and 35-year-old woman in bicycles injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5465. Buffalo, NY. Aug. 3. 40-year-old man critically struck by a maroon vehicle which fled the scene.
5466. Paramus, NJ. Aug. 3. 50-year-old woman seriously injured when struck by a light-colored SUV which fled the scene.
5467. Denver, Colo. Aug. 3. Man injured when struck by a motorcycle which fled the scene.
5468. Eau Claire, Wisc. Aug. 2. 8-year-old boy injured when struck by a which fled the scene.
5469. Fayetteville, NC. Aug. 3. Pedestrian injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5470. Toms River, NJ. Aug. 2. 30-year-old man fatally struck by two vehicles which fled the scene.

And I quote (II)…Seattle police have arrested the suspect in a hit-and-run crash that injured a mother and her one-year-old child.
On Saturday, August 02, 2014, at 1:45am, at 8th Street and Allegheny Avenue, police responded to an Auto Pedestrian Accident. Unit#1- a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am struck an unidentified female who walked in the path of the vehicle that was traveling westbound on Allegheny Avenue (not speeding). The operator was informed by her passenger(s), and witnesses that there was a female under her vehicle and that she should not move. The operator ignored warnings, putting the vehicle in reverse, and ran over the victim again causing extensive injuries to the victim. The operator then fled the scene.
A witness alerted police and followed the operator to 25th and Firth Streets where she abandoned her vehicle after she hit an unoccupied parked car. She then fled from that location on foot. Additional officers arrived on location, obtained the vehicle and owner information which led them to the females residence. The female was transported to the Accident Investigation Division for further investigation. The female has been identified as 22 year old Shakarah Jones from, 27XX West York Street. Jones is charged with: Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Aggravated Assault by Vehicle; Driving without a License and related offenses.
The victim remains in Temple Hospital in critical condition with multiple injuries.

Police say the driver of the van, Geraldo Rivera, 48, left the scene and returned to his home at 909 E. 26th Ave., where he was later found and arrested. Rivera is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death.

A Norfolk Police officer shot the driver in an alleged hit and run early Sunday morning, according to a statement issued by the department.
