I was fully prepared to type out a whole diatribe. It was going to be about how I don’t think I should easily be able to get flight information regarding mid-air flights by saying the words “Planes Overhead” into my iPhone.
But, worries about Big Brother (or Sister) encroachment dissipated quickly (if only temporarily) last evening. This, because when Irish Kevin from East Falls took a shot at speaking to Siri, she translated his brogue from “Planes Overhead” to “Koreans Overhead.”
Why is Siri fixated on flying Koreans?
Why doesn’t Siri understand an Irish brogue?
Is Siri anti-foreigner?
Maybe we’ll never know.
But is that better than knowing?
Whoa.
