I was sitting at today’s City Council meeting when, via Twitter, I learned that Julius Erving was at WHYY for a Radio Times appearance.
So, I left. And rushed back to the station. And played the “role” of fanboy — quotes unnecessary, I was totally a fanboy — and asked the Greatest Basketball Player In The Game’s History* if he’d be so kind as to pose for a photo.
He was kind enough. And I’m eternally grateful.
Oh, he was on Radio Times talking to Marty Moss-Coane about, among many things, his new book “Dr. J: An Autobiography.” You should buy it.
You should also tell me if anything good happened at Council after I left, too.
*I’ll accept a Chamberlain debate. However, without Dr. J, there is no Michael Jordan.
