3557. Winslow Twp., NJ. March 16. 59-year-old man fatally struck by a vehicle which fled the scene but was later located.
3558. Atlanta, Ga. March 16. 54-year-old man fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Hit and run investigators have impounded a silver Ford Focus that may be connected to the hit and run crash that seriously injured attorney Richard Leshin on Saturday morning.
Captain Michael Alanis with the Corpus Christi Police Department says investigators did not receive any tips about the car, but were able to locate it anyway.
The Focus was parked outside a home near Chamberlain and Swantner in Corpus Christi. It has obvious damage to the front passenger side of the bumper.

A 48-year-old Dayton woman has been arrested in a fatal hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian in Carson City Sunday night.
The Nevada Highway Patrol says Cynthia Ann Munroe was booked into the Carson City jail on Monday on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing death and driving on a suspended license.
The fatal crash was reported about 11 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 50, in front of Whiskey Tavern.

None of Stephens’ charges are related to him having his son with him while he was suspected of driving drunk, killing Smith and not stopping to help.
“That’s dangerous. And he’s not charged, that’s a big charge,” said Sullivan.

State police said today the vehicle that killed a Dover man last month is possibly a late model Ford passenger car.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a 38-year-old man near Dover on Feb. 19.
The man killed has been identified as Curt C. Burns of Dover.
Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said the accident was reported at 8:07 p.m. on South Du Pont Highway (U.S. 13) south of South Governors Avenue.
Fournier said Burns was attempting to cross U.S. 13 from west to east when he was struck in the southbound lanes and thrown onto the shoulder. He was taken by ambulance to Kent General Hospital, where he later died.

Puyallup police spoke with a man Tuesday who they said showed great interest in surveillance footage that captured a car hitting a 16-year-old girl last week and speeding away.
And I quote (VII)…
Friends of a Vancouver teenager accused of hit-and-run and vehicular homicide in the March 5 death of his best friend say that Yuriy V. Tasmaly, 18, left the crash scene that day to seek help.
Tasmaly, 18, was arraigned Wednesday in Clark County Superior Court on charges of vehicular homicide, hit-and-run death, theft of a motor vehicle, driving while suspended and minor in possession of alcohol.
He remains in the county jail on $200,000 bail.
About 25 of Tasmaly’s friends, including the girlfriend of victim Mikhail L. Golovach, 18, sat in the courtroom’s public gallery in a show of support.
Tasmaly flashed a furtive smile at his supporters as he shuffled into the courtroom wearing an orange jumpsuit and shackles. Inmates are prohibited from looking into the public gallery. When they do, a custody officer often admonishes them.

Henri Linden called police Saturday at 3:50 a.m. to report his vehicle was the victim of a hit-and-run collision, which he said took place in Morristown, according to a statement from township police.
But when Sgt. Martin Tessmer, Ptl. Diego Pinheiro, and Ptl. Brian Markt arrived at Linden’s Frederick Place residence, they found Linden intoxicated, police said. The officers found Linden’s vehicle had actually been involved in a crash just up the street as his missing passenger-side mirror was located next to a mailbox that had been struck there, police said.

Oregon State Police are looking for an Oregon City man as the suspect in a hit-and-run accident Saturday that injured a 5-year-old girl.
Police are searching for Robert W. Simmons, 41, and a silver BMW, license plate CA30537, that likely has extensive front damage, according to Lt. Gregg Hastings. Anyone with information should call 503-731-3030.

Checking her messages at work on Wednesday afternoon, Elizabeth Delaney was greeted by the familiar voice of her son, 13-year-old Owen Knauss.
It was what he said that stunned her.
“Hi Mom, I got hit by a car, but I’m OK.”
From there, it was a race to put together the pieces of a story that all matched up—just not in the way you’d expect.
